"Huff! Hah!! Huf!!!" Inside a dimly lit bedroom, Alvin suddenly jumped out of the bed he had been lying on. His entire body was drenched in sweat. He stood leaning against the bedposts, gasping for his breath; his clothes were now sticking to his body.
Alvin turned his head and saw the wet bedsheets, creating a vague shadow of his figure. He wiped his face with his hands before leaning it in his palm.
Alvin found it odd that he could still sweat. He was told that vampires were not supposed to sweat due to the lack of heat in their bodies, but here he was, looking like someone poured a bucket of water on his body.
After calming down, Alvin looked around the room, looking for any signs of break-ins. He was not sure if what he saw was merely a nightmare or something more than that.
And when he saw the intact state of his room, his confusion only deepened.
