Alvin's eyes gleamed as he looked in the direction where he could hear the sound of grass rustling. Some faint growls and heavy steps followed before they stopped.
Even though he had a calm expression, Alvin's hands were itching to fight someone on his level. Someone who could not beat him to a pulp with a single move.
"The beast is on the level of a baby vampire—the same level as you are." Vanessa looked back at the clearing for the last time. "It should be no problem for you to fight against it. Lady Elara told me that you are stronger than newly turned vampires or even some PAs."
Taking a deep breath, Alvin nodded to the maid before vanishing from his spot behind the tree, leaving a gust of wind behind.
Vanessa raised her head and saw a shadow-like blur flashing from one tree to another.
