In his agitation, Alvin's feet started fluttering against the tree branch he was standing on, and his nails elongated; they grazed against the hardwood, and the noise he made caught the attention of the beast.
The creature snapped its head in his direction and stared at Alvin with its cold gaze while licking the blood off its mouth that had returned to its normal state.
Alvin noticed the sound of the bone crushing. He stopped and focused back on the beast, only to realize that its cold blue eyes were locked on him. The next second, his vision was filled with a huge mouth, even bigger than his body.
