Elara did not think much and entered the room with pacing steps.
"Did you want to talk about something?" Adjusting his shirt enough to hide the mark from plain sight, Alvin broke the awkward atmosphere.
She did not immediately answer him; instead, she looked around the room. Glancing at the neat bedsheets and no messy clothes lying around, I nodded in satisfaction. She walked up to one of the sofa chairs placed in the corner of the room and sat down.
She turned to face Alvin, who was now standing before him, and asked, "Do you recall when we talked about the academy?"
"Indeed, I remember that you have to leave for that place in 10 months." Alvin nodded, recalling the talk they had. "Did something happen?"
