"There is no blood being sold here." Alvin froze for a moment upon hearing that. His eyes darted around. Soon he also noticed that, even though there were many shops and sellers with all kinds of wares and products, there was not a single one that sold blood.
"Blood is a commodity of the rich in Tamarka." Elara said, her voice settling gravely in the air. "Just like gold from the human world."
"The supply of the blood of any kind is regulated very strictly. You might be able to buy some low-level blood from a shady dealer here, but you won't find any high-quality blood."
"Is it that strict?" Alvin asked in shock.
"Blood is power, dear Alvin." Elara chuckled at his shocked expression. She was not surprised. With the way he had an effortless supply of blood, he would not have realized its worth.
