My voice came out slow, shaken. "Who are you talking—"


"I'm talking to you." He didn't even let me finish.


His words hit me like slaps. One by one.


"Just look at yourself. You look like a coward. And now, you're showing everyone just how pathetic you are."


"You're scared," he continued. "And you disgust me."


The room spun for a second. I stared at him, heart pounding, but he didn't stop.

For a few seconds, I couldn't even believe my ears.


I turned to my father, my lips trembling, eyes filling again with fresh tears—hotter this time, heavier.
