Not that Alex was bothered by his father.
Ever since he was a legal adult, he had been using all his saved-up money to invest, start a few businesses and more. He inherited his father's savvy business mind. So, when he dated Eve for five years, he had accumulated almost a hundred million dollars worth of assets under his name.
His father had no say in what he should do with his money, not when he had proven his capability from a young age.
Ding!
Alex stepped out of the elevator and was greeted by Miranda—his father's secretary in her forties. This woman had practically watched him grow from a mischievous kid to a capable man.
So, Alex knew that Miranda was one of the people he could trust around his father.
"Young Master, your father has been waiting for you in the CEO's office," Miranda informed politely after a slight bow. "Don't worry, it's only him inside. I've made sure that the acting CEO wouldn't interfere."
"Mm, thanks," Alex nodded.
