CASSANDRA
A red Ferrari pulled up right in front of me, and Andrew stepped out, enveloping me in a hug. He let out a deep breath. His eye bags were heavily swollen from lack of sleep.
"You need to sleep, Andrew, or you'll age faster than Father," I teased, trying to lighten the mood.
"I have a long list of reasons I can't sleep, and you, Cassandra, are on top of that list," he answered, clearly not interested in what I said.
"Now, where have you been? Don't even bother lying," he demanded after we had settled into his car. He turned on the ignition, waiting patiently for my response.
"Promise you won't say a word till after I'm done," I requested. He nodded and made a gesture of zipping his mouth.
Here goes nothing...
I took my time explaining how I got drunk after I left the bar, the weird feeling of being stalked, losing consciousness, and being gagged and bound in an unknown warehouse. I deliberately omitted the part where Nikolai annihilated my captors.
