"As I strode off the stage, the electrifying buzz of the audience pulsed through me like a tempest, a symphony of exhilaration and dread. With each deliberate step toward my seat, a sinister smirk curled at the corners of my lips, reveling in the turmoil I had unleashed.
Perched above the fray, I relished the chaos that spiraled beneath me, a chaotic whirlwind of whispers and laughter, some faces twisted in bewilderment, others glaring at me as though I were a specter haunting their every thought. I thrived in this moment of wicked triumph, intoxicated by the power I wielded over them, like a puppeteer pulling strings in a grand, dark performance"
"What's that?"
"I'm writing a diary about everything now. And that's basically how I'd visualize your exit off the stage, or just how I wrote it"
"Sounds a little bit exaggerating though. Its only alright because it made me look cool. Keep writing more, maybe that'll become a scripture in the future"
"But that was neat neat bro. How you know so much about the war? Even I couldn't get the true intentions of the capture. You're really something else"
"Its tactics, tactics, Kyle"
"Class is dismissed. Get yourselves ready for the next class. Remember to treat yourselves, your classmates and your superiors with adequate respect" Atoinette said staring me in the eyes.
I sat up, as Kainan approached us. I put my jacket down on my chair as I stood up to face him.
We looked deep into each other's souls for a long time, the air thickening with tension as our stares drilled into one another like daggers. Each second stretched on painfully, amplifying the fierce determination radiating from our eyes. I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins, igniting a fire within me that beckoned for confrontation. The weight of our unyielding gazes challenged the other to break first, to flinch or show weakness.
Around us, the world melted away as everything faded into a furious silence, a prelude to the impending clash. Every flicker of my opponent's expression became a calculated move in an unspoken game, and I knew that this standoff was just the calm before the storm. Then, he raised his arm, and the tension snapped like a taut wire, signaling that the moment of action was upon us.
"Ay what took you so long?"
He raised his arm for an arm shake. I raised my arm and shook his. He finally recalled his normal easy going manner.
"I was in a coma or something like that. Seems like something got in my system and I went into some berserk mode. Then when I got better, I trained with Miss Anne, and sustained more injuries"
"Like fist fighting after a coma was a good idea anyway. You like fighting like I like booze" Kainan responded.
"So what?"
"I like drinking and you like fighting. What's the difference? Its short-lived, fun in the beginning, a blast to do with the opposite gender, always bound to happen on a Friday, you get knocked up, and its really not good for your liver. Its the same thing!
"Whatever, you just want to justify that bad habit of yours. What do we have now?"
"I think theory. He's always late. Sir Lucas"
"You did the homework Kyle? I hope you did. I was in a coma for a week. You cant-"
"I forgot. We should be alright, I can present it off my head. I can do it right now even, my expertise is more than enough" said Kyle with a nervous look.
"Well you better not be lying. He's right behind you" Kainan responded, his face white.
The professor looked at him, like a predator who just caught prey. His face fell in his palm as he cackled, and we laughed along nervously.
"That's enough looks like we know which group is going first. I'm hoping to see some of that expertise. Everyone have your seats. Lets hear them".
He took a seat himself, crossing his legs with a relaxed demeanor. A smug smile crept onto his face as he leaned back, clearly enjoying the moment. The tension in the air was thick, and I could feel his eyes on us three, watching intently. Each second stretched out, and there he was, comfortably settled, eager for the moment when we slip up and give him the satisfaction he craved.
"All we do is describe the flow, Sir?" I asked.
"Do what you can, I'll judge from there" he responded.
"We're three and not four, the intended number. Can we call on some help?" Kainan asked cunningly.
"As long as you call out your 'help' loudly so we can all know who messes you up.
Laughter erupted through the room
"Nevertheless, go on"
Kainan smirked and stood at attention. Almost like he was preparing for this.
"I would like to call on Miss Alana James!"
Multiple groups of gossips formed around, everyone still unbelieving of Kainan's pick.
"I believe I called a name. I would like for said name to walk up to stage"
Alana paused. She got up slowly, looking a little bit between surprised and disgusted.
"I trust you, but why her?" I asked Kainan.
"You weren't here. I helped her with a practical assignment and she owes me one. Plus I know her for a while now and this is part of taking the shot. Dont mess me up" he whispered in a serious tone, not even glancing at me.
"She seems to know her stuff, but.... Its whatever. We need an extra person anyways. Just make sure she's on the same frequency as me" Kyle said loud enough for us to hear.
"Is the Lion trembling or the mouse about to real himself? I guess we are about to find out" Sir Lucas snickered.
Kainan whispered something in Alana's ear and suddenly she looked all bright and happy. She turned to face us.
"You're now in the courtesy of Miss Alana. Sit tight and watch the show"
Not exactly sure what that meant, but if it meant we were getting away with no work it was fine by me.
"Good morning class. Today we will learn on the flow and construction of the rogue. What does a rogue need? He needs speed. To deliver a quick bolt of mana through the body, paths will have to be as small as can be, diameter wise. The path must be thick and long, stretching throughout the body. The paths must be be able to carry minimum of 50 Galorims around the body from the heart and back to it in about 5 seconds. This is the reason for the increased speed of recovery in rogues, as well as their crazy adaptation of energy flow. Any questions?"
No one dared to challenge that level of intelligence and genius. She can be annoying, but she sure is useful.
"Listen carefully if you want to be able to understand flow. The concept is only one of its kind"
