Chapter: 46

Roman's POV:
It had been a week since Liam had vanished without a trace. With the entire Crescent Moon Pack now under my control, I had barely had a moment to rest. My days blurred together in an exhausting cycle of paperwork, pack activities, and other endless obligations. There was no reprieve, no moment to breathe. To make matters worse, the Elders had united against Liam, labeling him a threat to the pack and the supernatural realm as a whole. Because he was known as my closest friend, they assumed I knew where he was. The truth was, I didn't. But at the same time, it wasn't entirely untrue either.
A sharp voice cut through my thoughts, yanking me back to reality.
"Beta Roman."
I blinked, my eyes refocusing on the documents spread across my desk. To an outsider, it may have seemed as if I had been diligently working, but in truth, my mind had been elsewhere, tangled in worries and unanswered questions.
