Aaron woke up as usual. Though today was the day that he would complete his Rank-2 quest, he was not acting differently. For him, it is business as usual. Nothing out of routine.
This is so because his brain thought of something paranoid.
Till now, he believed that he would be safe as long as he was inside the academy, but is that truly so?
Every student that was in the same year was a competitor. He had only met them at the orientation, spoke with one or two, and that was it. After that, he didn't meet any of them, as he never went to any classes nor was his residence anywhere near other students.
Even if that is so, he has met several prideful gazes who looked down on him, more like looking down on his profession. There are many envious looks among them too.
There are a few who didn't care much, but even those are his competitors from day one.
