Chapter 151 - Chapter 150: Arrival at the Holy Land

The fleet continued toward the Holy Land, Mary Geoise. The atmosphere on the ship had become much livelier—completely different from when Yang Tao had first arrived.

Looking at everyone on board, it felt less like they were heading into a great battle and more like they were attending a grand banquet.

Yang Tao knew from Whitebeard's words that there was no convincing him to retreat to another world. Since that was the case, there was only one choice—to help Whitebeard face the danger ahead.

Yang Tao turned to Whitebeard and said, "It's fine. The Scourge Legion isn't a huge problem, but be careful! While ordinary undead creatures aren't particularly strong or fast, don't let them wound you. Every undead carries a plague virus, and if you don't get treated in time, you'll turn into part of the Scourge."

The undead army was terrifying—almost like the T-virus. In the beginning, people didn't understand its nature, which led to an overwhelming outbreak. The more they fought, the worse it got, until the undead covered the land like a flood.

What's mine is mine, and what's yours… well, that's mine too!

Whitebeard listened carefully to Yang Tao's explanation and then instructed Marco to relay everything to the rest of the crew.

Before long, they arrived at Mary Geoise. The once-glorious city was now nothing but ruins.

Under the gloomy sky, the land had completely changed—there wasn't a single plant in sight, and the ground was covered in a thick green fog of plague. This place had been turned into a wasteland of disease.

Among the ruins stood massive ghostly towers, each over twenty meters tall. Suspended atop them were giant crystal-like energy clusters.

Above them floated a massive fortress—it was Naxxramas.

Meanwhile, on the other side, a large number of Marines were charging into the city, only to be met by hordes of undead. Among them, many former Marines and Celestial Dragons, now undead, were attacking their former comrades.

The lower-tier undead were weak and easily defeated by the Marines. But they never stopped coming—it was an endless wave.

Even worse, the Marines were unknowingly inhaling the plague. The fallen soldiers soon stood back up, only to turn against their allies.

The scene left the Whitebeard Pirates in stunned silence.

Before long, the regular Marines were overwhelmed. Strangely, the undead didn't pursue them. Instead, they gathered the fallen bodies and withdrew.

Only the higher-ranking Marine officers were still holding the line.

One Marine Captain swung his blade, slicing through a massive group of undead, cutting them clean in half. But their souls remained intact—the blue flames in their skulls still flickered.

Instead of dying, they crawled forward, relentlessly closing in on the Captain.

Suddenly, a thick metal chain shot out from the ruins, its bloodstained hook latching onto the Captain before he could react.

With a powerful yank, he was dragged into the darkness. His screams echoed through the ruins, followed by the sickening sounds of chewing.

Then, monstrous creatures emerged—Abominations. Their bloated bodies were covered in stitches, with some torn open, revealing rotting intestines. But they didn't seem to care in the slightest.

The Marines had no choice but to retreat completely from the plague-ridden battlefield.

Yang Tao sighed at the scene before him.

"Damn it… these idiots! After all that fighting, all they did was deliver fresh soldiers and food to the enemy!"

The Marines had never seen anything like this before. Their reckless attack had cost them dearly.

Yang Tao turned to Whitebeard. "Let's meet up with the Marines first. We need to understand the situation before making any moves."

Whitebeard, having seen the disaster unfold, nodded grimly.

Before long, they arrived at the Marines' temporary base, only to be blocked by a group of nervous Marine soldiers.

Despite trembling in fear, one of them mustered the courage to speak.

"Whitebeard Pirates! What are you doing here?"

Marco stepped forward. "We're here to fight those monsters! Who's in charge?"

The Marines hesitated before stepping aside.

From behind them, Fleet Admiral Sengoku and Admiral Aokiji emerged, their gazes fixed on Whitebeard and his crew.

Sengoku didn't waste time. "Whitebeard, why are you here?"

With the situation so dire, Whitebeard didn't bother with small talk.

"What's going on? Why is Aokiji the only Admiral here? This enemy isn't something either of us can handle alone."

Sengoku frowned. "So… you know what these creatures are?"

Then, his expression darkened.

"Akainu charged into that floating fortress alone. He hasn't returned."

Standing to the side, Yang Tao couldn't help but admire Akainu's bravery.

"Soloing a 25-man raid dungeon? Now that's a true warrior. I just hope he likes sliding coffin lids."
