Chapter 159 - Chapter 158: Heading to the Terraria Dimension

Three days later.

Yang Tao reluctantly left home and flew toward the crack in the sky, heading to the world of Terraria.

"So this is the Terraria dimension?"

Looking around, everything seemed identical to his usual Minecraft world.

Wait—no! The trees here were round!!

Still midair, Yang Tao immediately landed and walked up to a tree.

It had a diameter of about a meter, with a straight trunk reaching toward the sky.

Yang Tao pulled out the Ma Yuling Axe from his backpack and started chopping. With loud cracking sounds, deep cracks spread across the tree trunk until the entire tree shattered into pieces, turning into stacks of wood.

Yang Tao stroked his chin.

"Is this real… or not?"

He decided not to think about it too much. Trying to apply science to Minecraft or Terraria was like lighting a candle in a bathroom—pointless!

He picked up the wood scattered on the ground and opened his backpack. The interface had changed—on the left side, a list of craftable items appeared, while the right side now had a row of accessory slots.

"Wow! This crafting system is so convenient! I can see everything I can make at a glance!"

In Terraria, as long as you had the right materials in your inventory, all available crafting options would be displayed.

The first step was to craft a workbench—this would allow him to make even more items.

At that moment, a large number of slimes began spawning around him. Their oval-shaped bodies bounced non-stop, and for some reason, there were way more of them than usual, maybe because this world had become real.

But since slimes weren't hostile creatures, Yang Tao ignored them.

"Not having a guide is great!"

He thought about the in-game guide NPC and winced. In Terraria, even when slimes weren't aggressive, the guide would still shoot an arrow at them—only for the slime's aggro to turn onto the player instead.

"Let's summon the NPCs first!"

He prepared a crafting station to make a prison for them but suddenly realized something—there were no platforms! Not just that, but there weren't even any walls!

With no other choice, Yang Tao grabbed some wood and started building a small house. Soon, a simple box-shaped shelter was standing before him, with torches placed inside.

Next, he set up a table and chairs—now it was a valid house. He quickly built a few more, waiting for the NPCs to arrive.

"Let's test how strong the monsters are first."

Yang Tao pulled out his bow and shot an arrow at a nearby slime.

The arrow hit—but the slime didn't die!

"No way… this follows the original game's rules?!"

Yang Tao stared at the health bar above the slime. It had only a sliver of health left, but this still made him realize how dangerous this world was.

He glanced at his own health—just 20 HP.

"Better head underground first and find some Life Crystals to boost my max health."

Maybe he could also find some accessories to improve his stats.

Thinking about accessories, he looked up at the sky and saw faintly visible floating islands, with harpies soaring through the air. He quickly gave up on the idea of flying up there right away.

Instead, he decided to mine properly.

After finding a cave, he took out a night vision potion and drank it. The dark cavern instantly lit up, making even the zombies inside clearly visible.

"Good thing I came prepared, or I would've been ambushed by that old corpse!"

He spotted a zombie shambling toward him and quickly threw a barrage of throwing knives, taking it down in just four hits.

Yang Tao picked up the coins the zombie dropped and kept exploring deeper.

Then, he saw something unexpected—a Minecraft-style chest sitting in the cave.

"Uh… looks like these two worlds are merging together."

He walked over and opened the chest, pulling out a spear.

"Eight damage… that's actually stronger than a diamond sword?! Still trash, though."

Yang Tao spent an entire day looting underground. By the time he surfaced, the sun was already setting.

He looked at his haul with satisfaction—Hermes Boots, a Band of Regeneration, and two Life Crystals. Each Life Crystal increased his max HP by 20, bringing his total health up to 60.

Back at his house, he found that the NPCs had already arrived—not just the guide, but also the merchant and the nurse!

And just then… the Blood Moon began to rise.

"Damn it! Who gets a Blood Moon on the first day?!"

Yang Tao immediately thought about teleporting back to the main world, but the moment he stepped outside, he saw the sky filled with Demon Eyes—each over a meter wide.

He instantly gave up on leaving.

In the game, Demon Eyes weren't that scary, but seeing them in real life was terrifying.

Then, he saw a horde of zombies approaching his house.

His scalp tingled.

He rushed back inside and quickly boarded up all the entrances—during a Blood Moon, zombies could break down doors!

"Alright, you sneaky bastards, you wanna mess with me?!"

Yang Tao cut a one-meter-wide hole in the wall.

Looking at the swarm of monsters outside, he grabbed his throwing knives and started tossing them like crazy. There were so many enemies that it didn't matter if he aimed or not—something was bound to get hit.

Zombies kept falling one after another, but their numbers didn't decrease at all.

The Terraria spawn system made sure a fixed number of enemies always appeared within the player's vicinity—whenever one died, another instantly respawned.
