The blood moon in the sky slowly sank, and the zombies and demon eyes outside gradually retreated.
"Finally, it's over!"
After fighting all night, he had used up all his ranged weapons and supplies. In the end, he could only grab a spear and stab wildly.
He removed the wooden planks blocking the door and stepped outside to collect the dropped items—tons of zombie arms, shackles, and even the wedding dress from a zombie bride.
But there wasn't much money. The zombies that ran away had taken most of it.
"My money!" For someone obsessed with wealth, this was pure agony.
He sold all the zombie arms to the merchant, then returned to his world to repair all his weapons and grab a bunch of spiked diamond blocks from his utility mod.
These spiked blocks deal 8 damage to anything that touches them and can make monsters drop loot, though they don't give experience. But who cares about experience in Terraria? As long as there's money, that's all that matters.
Holding the spiked blocks in his hands, Yang Tao gritted his teeth. "Let's see which zombies dare to take my money this time!"
Back in Terraria, he dug a moat outside his house and filled it with spikes and hoppers. Now, anything that fell in would have its loot automatically sent to a chest through pipes.
Looking at his completed defense system, Yang Tao nodded in satisfaction. "Alright, bring on the blood moon!"
...
Two days passed, but the blood moon never came. Instead, something else appeared—slimes started raining from the sky.
Slimes were falling from above...
Then, from the distance, a massive blue slime bounced toward him, wearing a giant golden crown.
Yang Tao: "..."
Seriously?
He had been waiting for a blood moon, but instead, he got the King Slime.
As the massive slime charged forward, he noticed something—inside its translucent body, a person was trapped.
Yang Tao didn't panic. He kept attacking with ranged weapons, chipping away at the King Slime's health.
As its health got lower, it started moving faster.
Then, it split into a bunch of smaller slimes, and spiked slimes began shooting at him.
Seeing this, he immediately took off into the air, dodging the attacks. He smirked and taunted, "What now, huh? I can fly!"
From above, he went all out, attacking without restraint. After all, nothing could hit him up here.
And just like that, the first boss of Terraria met an embarrassingly quick end.
He cleared out the remaining small slimes, then picked up the loot bag and other dropped items.
"A Slime Staff? Did my luck finally turn around?"
Staring in disbelief at the staff dropped by a small slime, Yang Tao was in shock. A guy with his terrible luck actually got such a rare item?
"Could it be because White came back?"
He had never believed in luck or probability—it was all nonsense to him.
Testing out the Slime Staff, he summoned a tiny green slime. It had eyes, a mouth, and looked downright adorable.
If it had been more realistic-looking, he wouldn't have used this staff ever again.
"Heh! With this, no one can call me unlucky anymore!"
Yang Tao opened the King Slime's loot bag and found a solidifier, ninja pants, a ninja hood, royal gel, and a few potions.
Without saying a word, he shut his inventory. His dark expression said everything.
With the King Slime defeated, the slime rain finally stopped.
He pulled out a bug net he had bought from the merchant and started catching worms and grasshoppers for fishing. As he collected bait, he wandered further away to explore.
Suddenly, he saw a deep red landscape ahead.
Yang Tao felt uneasy. The ground was blood-red, littered with massive bones. Gigantic eyeballs were scattered around, staring at him as if they were alive.
"This Crimson Land is disgusting."
Terraria was originally a 2D game, but now, the eerie background had become a reality right in front of him.
At that moment, many monsters in the Crimson had noticed him and started rushing toward him.
Yang Tao's weapon floated into the air and launched attacks at the monsters. Before long, they were all wiped out.
That's when he spotted a massive entrance.
"That must be where I can summon the Brain of Cthulhu!"
