Stepping onto the blood-red ground, he felt a strange softness beneath his feet, as if he were walking on some unknown flesh. The sensation made Yang Tao feel incredibly nauseous.
"Could the rumors from my past life be true? Has this land actually come to life?"
It was just a thought, but he didn't dwell on it. He made his way toward the giant entrance in the Crimson and soon arrived.
"The deeper I go, the more it feels like I'm walking inside a giant intestine. Ugh—better not think about it."
Shaking the thought away, he drank a potion and stepped inside.
After navigating through winding tunnels, he finally reached a massive underground cavern.
Blood-colored monsters roamed the area, and crimson crawlers scurried toward him. Yang Tao took out his weapon, clearing out the creatures as he moved deeper inside.
The further he went, the more distinct a rhythmic thumping became.
"The heart must be in here!"
He pulled out a pickaxe crafted by Ma Yuling and began chipping away at the crimson stone, revealing the massive heart hidden within.
Suspended in the stone chamber, the gigantic heart pulsed loudly. As Yang Tao watched it beat, he could almost feel his own heart syncing with it.
"It's huge—at least three meters tall!"
He grabbed a wooden hammer and smashed it against the heart, producing a muffled, squishy sound.
A message appeared in the corner of his vision:
*A chill runs down your spine…*
Picking up the loot that had dropped from the heart, he found a *Undertaker* pistol and 100 bullets. It was a guaranteed drop from the first heart—if this were the Corruption instead of the Crimson, it would have been a Musket instead.
Following the sound of the heartbeat, he continued searching for the next heart.
Yang Tao struck the heart before him. "This is the third one. Not being able to see through walls is annoying… Let's see how strong the Brain is!"
He was currently wearing a Quantum Suit. It might not be great for late-game, but early-game monsters could only deal a fixed 1 HP damage per hit. With 160 HP, he could easily handle it.
Besides, he had healing potions!
He sprinted toward the massive cavern, wanting to avoid getting trapped in a corner by the Brain's first phase.
As soon as he arrived, a swarm of floating eyeball-like creatures rushed toward him—these were the Brain's minions.
Yang Tao smirked as he watched them approach.
"I've got an Agility Potion, a Swiftness Potion, and Hermes Boots. You really think you can hit me? What a joke!"
Dodging swiftly to the side, he effortlessly avoided every single attack.
Still, seeing his HP drop slightly, he grumbled, "That was faster than I expected."
In Terraria, the protagonist's movement speed and jump height were far superior to Steve's, especially when it came to jumping.
As the Brain of Cthulhu slowly appeared in midair, Yang Tao quickly took flight, knowing that the floating eyeballs would soon gather behind him.
Sure enough, just after he moved, the swarm of minions emerged from the wall behind where he had been standing.
Looking up, he saw the Brain of Cthulhu—a large, floating pink brain covered in writhing tendrils.
The minions rushed toward him again. Yang Tao pulled out his Enma Blade and began swinging furiously, cutting them down one by one.
After three waves, all the minions were completely wiped out.
"You're the only one left."
Yang Tao locked eyes with the floating Brain of Cthulhu. With all its minions gone, it transitioned into its second phase—the center of the brain split open like a giant mouth, revealing a blood-red eye inside.
With a shrill roar, the Brain lunged at him.
The second phase was actually easier than the first because the Brain was affected by knockback.
Yang Tao swung his weapon repeatedly, keeping the Brain at bay. However, as its HP dropped lower, clones of the Brain began appearing in the air.
Seeing the illusionary copies of the Brain, Yang Tao smirked and pulled out his Slime Staff.
"Time to shine, little slime buddy!"
The summoned slime baby rushed straight at a Clownar, and Yang Tao immediately realized that was the real body.
Summoned creatures aren't fooled by illusions—they go straight for the real one.
With the slime's help, the Clownar shattered completely, dropping a treasure bag.
Just then, the long-silent chat group popped up with a new message.
