Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: Treats His Employees Well

Natasha didn't feel any pain in her body. She slowly opened her eyes and found herself standing on top of a tall building. Not far away, Stark was engaged in an intense battle.

"How did I get here?"

"Of course, I saved you," a voice responded.

"Who?"

Natasha immediately became alert and turned her head to look behind her.

She saw a man, a woman, and a child standing there.

"The Demon King?!"

Natasha gasped in shock.

"Hmm."

Kino nodded slightly but didn't pay her much attention. His gaze was fixed on the sky.

"Natasha, your location has changed. Where are you?"

Nick Fury's voice suddenly came through her earpiece.

"Fury, I'm on a tall building northwest of the weapons factory. I encountered the Demon King, Poison Ivy, and a child. How much time has passed?"

Natasha walked to a corner, responding in code while scanning Kino and the others with her eyes.

"Eight seconds…"

Nick Fury's answer made Natasha's pupils shrink. If she counted the time she was attacked, it meant she had been moved in less than a second.

"Fury, in just an instant, I was transported 300 meters away to a high-rise building. And for some reason, Tony Stark hasn't noticed us despite the close distance."

Natasha's fingers trembled slightly as she signed her message.

On the other end of the communication, Fury fell silent. He didn't respond for a long time.

Ever since the Demon King appeared, they had been constantly gathering intelligence on him—flight, super strength, summoning demons. Now, he had also demonstrated super speed and large-scale invisibility.

Who in this world could possibly control him?

A deep sense of unease settled in Fury's heart.

Taking a deep breath, he said, "Natasha, request the Demon King's help to save Tony and the hostages."

"Understood."

Natasha replied. She had always been confident in her ability to handle men.

She adjusted her breathing, swaying her slender waist as she walked toward Kino with a graceful charm.

"Kino, thank you for saving me."

At that moment, the Black Widow's face was slightly flushed, her eyes filled with admiration and delight.

With her alluring beauty and affectionate gaze, any man would be captivated.

"It's nothing. You can take them away."

Kino spoke as he opened a portal.

Under the guidance of the League of Assassins, a group of people emerged from it.

"Oh my God, I just came back from hell!"

"I took a photo! I need to post this on Facebook."

"I need to go home and change my pants."

The once-quiet rooftop was instantly filled with noise—voices mixed with joy, excitement, and chaos.

Natasha stared at Kino in shock, her beautiful eyes widening in disbelief.

In just one second, he had not only saved her but also rescued all the hostages. His speed was beyond imagination!

"Thank you for your help," Natasha said, her voice carrying genuine gratitude.

However, when she saw that Kino had no intention of responding, she pursed her lips slightly, looking a little awkward.

But she quickly regained her composure and prepared to leave with the hostages.

"Well, it's normal," she thought to herself. "Men always act more gentlemanly when they're around other women."

Her curiosity about Kino grew even stronger.

Just then, a blonde woman rushed over in a hurry.

"Are you Mr. Kino? Please, save Tony!"

Pepper's voice was filled with urgency and worry, her eyes full of pleading desperation.

She knew exactly who the robots attacking Tony were. Right now, Tony was surrounded. Perhaps the only one who could save him was the Demon King standing before her.

Tony had mentioned before that he and Kino had a good relationship.

"Tony's lover, Pepper Potts," Kino recognized her.

"N-No, I'm just his employee," Pepper said, blushing slightly and avoiding his gaze as if trying to clarify things.

"Alright then, I'll just assume that," Kino said with a sly smile, making it hard to read his true thoughts.

"Mr. Kino, can you save Tony first?"

Pepper pleaded again, her voice trembling with emotion.

"Sure."

With that, Kino looked toward the factory. His eyes glowed a blinding red, and a red beam shot out, striking the factory's armory directly.

In an instant, the entire factory exploded.

A massive fireball shot into the sky, thick smoke billowing outward.

Pepper stood frozen in shock, her mouth slightly open. She had only asked Kino to save Tony. She hadn't expected him to act so directly and violently—he had destroyed the entire factory in an instant.

Natasha sighed and rubbed her forehead in frustration.

Her original plan had been to handle the situation discreetly. But now, with the factory in ruins, there was no way to cover this up.

"Forget it. Let Fury deal with this headache," she thought, giving up on trying to find a solution.

Above the factory, Tony was thrown backward by the explosion but barely managed to stabilize himself.

"No!"

Tony shouted in despair as he watched the factory erupt in flames.

Anxious and furious, he tried to rush down, but the relentless robotic soldiers blocked his path.

Ignoring his dwindling energy reserves, Tony poured everything he had into his chest reactor.

"Unibeam!" he roared.

A powerful energy blast shot out from his chest, tearing through the robotic soldiers.

Wherever the beam struck, holes were blasted into the enemy forces, sending metal shards flying in all directions.

After eliminating the last of the robotic soldiers, Tony dived toward the ground.

His thrusters flickered and sputtered, barely functioning, as if they might fail at any moment.

But in the end, he managed to land safely.

Staring at the ruined, burning factory, Tony's eyes were filled with determination.

Even with his armor nearly depleted, he stubbornly searched through the wreckage.

Every movement was heavy and strained, his mechanical limbs groaning with each motion.

"J.A.R.V.I.S., initiate a life scan!"

"Sir, under these conditions, it is impossible to find any survivors—"

"Shut up! Just scan!"

"...Understood, scanning now…"

Tony anxiously watched the holographic display. The scan returned no traces of biological life. That only meant one thing—anyone inside had been reduced to ashes.

From the rooftop, Kino smirked as he mimicked Tony's voice mockingly.

"Shut up! Just scan!" he said, laughing to himself.

"What do you think he's looking for? His employees?" Kino asked playfully.

Pepper's face flushed red, but she tried to maintain her composure.

"Of course. Even though he's irresponsible, arrogant, and a playboy, he does treat his employees well," she said.

Though she spoke calmly, her eyes never left Tony, and an unconscious smile formed at the corners of her lips.

"You all agree, right?"

She turned to the group of Stark Industries employees behind her.

"Absolutely not! Our boss has never managed us properly."

"He doesn't even know our names!"

The employees grumbled one after another, but their faces carried amused smiles.
