Chapter 99 - CHAPTER 99

"Me…"

Lily looked at everyone, then at the Yunyun Fruit in her hands, momentarily at a loss for words.

She had always liked the idea of this fruit's power, but admitting it had been difficult. Now, standing alone with it, she didn't know how to respond.

At that moment, Caesar picked up the Yunyun Fruit and handed it to her.

"Lily, eat it. This fruit actually suits you quite well."

"What?"

Lily was startled.

"Yes, yes! The more I think about it, the more I realize this fruit is perfect for Lily!" Wei Na said with a smile. Among everyone present, Lily's strength was the weakest.

But that also meant she had the most room to grow.

If she ate this Devil Fruit, her abilities would improve dramatically, which would, in turn, strengthen their entire crew.

Though Wei Na and Regina had previously claimed that the fruit didn't suit them, the truth was they had decided to give it to Lily from the beginning. Saying it wasn't their style was just an excuse—one that would make Lily more willing to accept it without feeling guilty.

Otherwise, if they had directly insisted she take it, she might have hesitated out of embarrassment.

"Go on, Lily! From now on, you'll be the one to command the wind and rain!" Caesar grinned.

Lily hesitated for a moment but then nodded, took the Yunyun Fruit, and bit into it.

A New Power Awakens

After some time, everyone gathered around Lily, who had fully digested the Devil Fruit.

"Come on, let's see what you can do. Even if it's just the basics, you should be able to show something," Caesar said with anticipation.

The others also watched eagerly.

Lily nodded and extended her slender arm. She spread her palm open, and a small dark cloud materialized in the air just above it.

The cloud was roughly palm-sized, floating about ten centimeters above her hand. It was pitch-black, and faint flashes of lightning flickered within it.

Except for its size, it looked just like a real thundercloud.

Everyone stared in awe, eyes widening.

"If she can enlarge this, its power will be incredible. Especially the lightning—it could cover a wide area in an attack," someone murmured.

Lily flipped her palm, making the dark cloud vanish. A gentle breeze stirred from her hand.

She explained, "This is wind, created using the essence of clouds—water vapor."

"I can also change the type of wind… like this."

She shifted her hand slightly, and the gentle breeze transformed into a small cyclone.

As she demonstrated the changes, everyone watched in amazement.

Then, she stretched out her other hand. This time, crackling sparks danced across her palm—it was a miniature thundercloud.

With another motion, she dismissed it and took a deep breath. Under everyone's watchful eyes, her body suddenly wavered—like a wisp of smoke caught in the wind—and then vanished completely.

Two seconds later, she reappeared a meter away.

"This is an illusion—a mirage created by refracting light through water vapor after I've turned into an element," Lily explained.

"Whoa! That's amazing!" Regina exclaimed, stars shining in her eyes.

"The elemental transformation… it's actually wind becoming an invisible substance! It's almost like real invisibility!" Gnaly remarked in astonishment.

"Not bad. A little small-scale, though…" Kishi chuckled.

"For now, I can only create small-scale weather phenomena in my hands. I can't directly generate them in the sky yet," Lily admitted, slightly out of breath. Demonstrating so many abilities in succession had drained her stamina. The elemental transformation, in particular, had taken a toll.

"It's already impressive. With more training, you'll be able to manipulate real weather systems," Caesar encouraged.

With that, the Yunyun Fruit had found its wielder.

But now, only one Devil Fruit remained.

The Last Devil Fruit

Everyone's attention turned to the final Devil Fruit.

It was spherical, about the size of a football, with a striking starry sky blue color. It exuded a mysterious aura, its swirling pattern resembling ripples expanding from a stone dropped into water.

Its elegant coloration and intricate design made it stand out as a fruit of remarkable quality.

For a moment, excitement filled the room.

What kind of power did this fruit hold?

However, despite its stunning appearance, the crew couldn't help but feel skeptical.

After all, out of the eight Devil Fruits they had acquired, only one had been top-tier. The others were fairly average, with one specifically suited for Arnold.

Now, only this last fruit remained.

"I hope this one isn't a dud," Yakexi muttered, rubbing her chin.

She recalled a past encounter—she had once seen a Devil Fruit with a dazzling appearance, only to find out it was called the Stink-Stink Fruit, which only allowed the user to make things smell horrible.

This was proof that looks could be deceiving when it came to Devil Fruits.

Everyone's eyes slowly turned to Caesar, who held the Devil Fruit Illustrated Book and flipped through its pages.

The anticipation in the room grew with every page turn.

Finally, Caesar stopped. His gaze lingered on the last page.

Then, he frowned slightly.

The reaction sent a wave of unease through the crew.

"What's wrong? Is it useless?" Wei Na wondered, heart sinking.

Silence fell over the room as everyone held their breath, watching Caesar intently.

Finally, with a sigh, Caesar closed the book.

"Oh..."

Granary couldn't wait any longer. "Well? Is it powerful?"

"Yeah! What kind of fruit is it?" Lily asked eagerly.

Eli swallowed nervously, his gaze locked onto Caesar.

Caesar shook his head slightly, making everyone tense up.

Was it really a worthless fruit?

With a helpless shrug, Caesar revealed the truth:

"This Devil Fruit… isn't recorded in the Devil Fruit Illustrated Book."

Gasps filled the room.

On one hand, this meant it wasn't necessarily useless—it could be a hidden gem.

But on the other hand, without a proper reference, they had no way of knowing what abilities it possessed.

After all their efforts, they had no clear answer.

Because of that, no one dared to eat it recklessly.

For now, this Devil Fruit would remain untouched.

"What a waste. The Illustrated Book is way too outdated," Brad grumbled in frustration.

Eli sighed. "Yeah… you'd think they'd update it in real-time by now."
