Chapter 98 - CHAPTER 98

Caesar slowly voiced his thoughts:

"In addition, after using your Devil Fruit ability, your attack speed is indeed astonishing. Few people could react in time to dodge your strikes. As for power—your strength has at least tripled."

Upon hearing Caesar's evaluation, the crew was taken aback.

Especially when they realized that Arnold had completed all his actions in such a short span of time.

"Executing so many attacks in less than a fifth of a second? Even a master of the Navy's Rokushiki might struggle to evade that!"

"What's even more shocking is that Caesar himself doesn't have a Devil Fruit ability, yet he was able to track that speed. If someone else had been the target instead of him, they would've been dead by now! Look at the power behind that bullet—if Gliner had taken a direct hit, he'd be seriously injured, right?"

"By the way, Caesar, how much stronger have Arnold's bullets become?"

Caesar answered, "Approximately three times more powerful. If Arnold continues to grow stronger, the speed enhancement from the Double-Speed Fruit will increase even further, and so will the power of his bullets."

Arnold, filled with anticipation, said, "If that happens, my strength will soar! Maybe I could even threaten an admiral!"

The crew burst into laughter at his bold claim.

After analyzing Arnold's abilities, Caesar and the others turned their attention to the remaining four Devil Fruits.

The fifth Devil Fruit, much like the second one, was not recorded in the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia.

"Another unregistered Devil Fruit..."

Their excitement waned as they moved on to the next one.

The sixth Devil Fruit appeared to be from the Zoan category at first glance.

But no one dismissed it outright—after all, what if it was a Mythical Zoan?

Many Mythical Zoan Fruits rival even Logia-type Devil Fruits in strength and rarity.

Comparing it with the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia, Caesar found the entry for the sixth fruit.

"This is a Zoan-type fruit... Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Arctic Fox."

"Wait… just a regular Zoan?"

"Is anyone interested?" Caesar asked, scanning the group.

"What?! Just a normal animal fruit?" Lily scoffed, her voice dripping with disappointment.

"Arctic foxes are cute, sure, but this fruit's combat potential is too limited."

"Yeah… that's kind of a letdown." Wei Na nodded in agreement.

Their expectations deflated instantly.

Seeing that no one wanted it, Caesar placed it next to the Kumo Kumo no Mi, Model: Spider.

Regular Zoan fruits had limited advantages, and the arctic fox—while elegant—offered only average attack and defense capabilities.

Unless it reached Awakening—which was no easy feat—it wouldn't provide much of a combat edge.

Even among awakened Zoan users, the Jailer Beasts in Impel Down were strong but ultimately underwhelming beyond their durability.

[110] A Surprise! A Logia-Type Fruit!

The crew's attention shifted to the seventh Devil Fruit—the most striking one of the bunch.

Its shape resembled stacked clouds, with a smooth gradient of white and blue hues, making it one of the most beautiful Devil Fruits Caesar had ever seen.

"Whoa! This fruit is gorgeous!"

Wei Na's eyes sparkled as she admired it.

"Yeah! The white and blue coloration—it looks like a precious gemstone!" Lily gushed, clasping her hands against her cheeks.

Even Gnali, usually uninterested in aesthetics, was momentarily captivated.

"This fruit completely breaks my image of Devil Fruits!"

"Let's check what it is! I'm really curious!" Lily urged Caesar impatiently.

Flipping through the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia, Caesar found the entry.

"This is… a Logia-type fruit—Yunyun no Mi!"

Logia?!

The moment those words left Caesar's lips, silence fell over the room.

The Yunyun no Mi—true to its name—was an exceedingly rare Devil Fruit.

According to the Encyclopedia, its ability allowed the user to create and manipulate various atmospheric phenomena.

Wind, rain, thunder… all within their control.

If developed properly, summoning storms and hurricanes would be effortless!

For sailing, this fruit was invaluable.

In a chase, one could generate tailwinds to speed up their ship while simultaneously conjuring headwinds to slow down their enemies.

In battle, the user could summon massive thunderclouds to unleash lightning strikes over a wide area—similar to Enel's Goro Goro no Mi.

Though this fruit couldn't directly control lightning, it could manipulate the elements necessary to create it.

Moreover, it could create heavy rains, affecting visibility and terrain.

Wind was the result of temperature differentials causing air to move. With precise control, the Yunyun no Mi could manipulate these shifts to generate devastating gales.

And since clouds are composed of condensed water vapor, this fruit would be extremely powerful on the sea, where moisture was abundant.

In essence, it granted an incredible degree of control over the sky.

If fully mastered, it might not quite reach the level of an Emperor, but it could easily rival a top-tier commander.

The crew was thrilled. This was an exceptional Devil Fruit!

"Yunyun no Mi... even its name sounds nice!" Wei Na admired.

"I feel like its potential is incredible," Ke Yaxi mused thoughtfully, stroking her chin.

Caesar nodded. "Agreed. If used well, it's an immensely powerful ability."

For a moment, everyone considered claiming it for themselves.

After all, possessing such a fruit meant stepping closer to becoming a powerhouse.

But the question remained—who would eat it?

"Which one of you wants the Yunyun no Mi?" Caesar asked, holding up the fruit and glancing at his crew.

Gnali and Yakesi weren't interested in Devil Fruits, leaving only Caesar and the three women as potential candidates.

"Caesar, what about you? If you ate this, you'd become even stronger," Wei Na suggested.

Caesar shook his head.

"This fruit doesn't suit me. I'll pass."

His refusal surprised everyone.

"You don't want it? If you ate it, you'd become a 'hexagonal warrior'—well-rounded in every category!" Gnali pointed out.

Caesar smiled. "The Yunyun no Mi is more of a field-control ability. My combat style is direct and aggressive—it doesn't complement my approach."

His explanation made sense, and the crew accepted it.

That left three possible candidates: Wei Na, Lily, and Regina.

"Wei Na, what about you? You always wanted a Devil Fruit, right?"

Wei Na hesitated before shaking her head.

"I do want a Devil Fruit, but my fighting style relies on Rokushiki-based kicking techniques. This fruit doesn't enhance my strengths at all."

"Plus, developing its powers would require a lot of technical knowledge I don't have."

Everyone nodded in understanding. It was a reasonable argument.

Their attention then shifted to Regina and Lily.

Regina examined the fruit before speaking.

"I could eat it, but my fighting style and this fruit's abilities don't align either. It would force me to abandon my physical training in favor of mastering the fruit's powers."

"Besides, I'm a doctor—I'd prefer a fruit that enhances my medical skills."

That made sense too.

Now, only one person remained.

Everyone turned to Lily.
