For some reason, when Aira woke up this morning, she felt uneasy. Suddenly, her heart was filled with intense anxiety. Not wishing to think much about it, she preferred to be positive, attributing her condition to hormonal changes during pregnancy.
Her eyes gazed at Renji's sleeping face, which was so boyish in appearance—so peaceful and serene yet so frightening when enraged.
"Renji-kun," she called softly. Renji's ears were sensitive to her voice, and even though Aira called him quietly, he could still hear her clearly, waking him from his sleep.
"Ngh~" Renji groaned, opening his eyes shortly after. "You're already awake," he said, looking at his wife's freshly awakened face.
His hand reached out to turn on the bedside lamp, then glanced at the alarm clock. Renji was slightly surprised to see it was only 5:00 AM. There was still an hour left to sleep.
"Renji-kun, I need to go to the bathroom," Aira said, asking for her husband's help.
