Renji sat restlessly, holding Aira's hand while continuously praying to God, pleading for her safety and recovery. He couldn't bear to lose her, as he wouldn't be able to live without Aira by his side—she meant everything to him.
"Ngh~" Aira groaned softly, snapping Renji out of his thoughts.
As the doctor who handled the C-section had said, Aira would wake up within one or two hours. Although Renji had initially been gripped by panic and fear when Aira didn't open her eyes, all those feelings vanished the moment he saw her beautiful, moon-like eyes.
