After escaping Nicholas, Kiera headed straight home to freshen up and get changed out of her old clothes. Once she was done, she hurried out of her apartment and headed to the company in her car.
Kiera stepped into the bustling company premises and headed straight for the elevator, ignoring the glares and murmuring she got as she walked in.
As soon as she arrived at her office, her eyes locked on the list of potential investors she had asked Lisa to prepare for her. Without wasting any more time, she settled into her seat, her hands gently dropping her phone as she fixed her concentration on the document before her.
With every passing second, the papers which were meticulously arranged on her desk, beckoned her attention. As she sifted through the information, a familiar name caught her eye-Jace, making Kiera pause for a second.
"Jace?" Kiera voiced, her tone laced with doubt.
