As they finally finished cleaning up the mess, Selene and Lucia made Simon hear a loud growl from his back. As he turned back, he saw the girls embarrassed by how loud the noise their stomachs made.
He chuckled to himself and quipped with a witty comment making Lucia pout while Selene laughed it off
"Sounds like your stomachs are having a conversation—and it's not a quiet one. Want me to translate, or just order pizza?"
Selene looked at Lucia and they nodded at each other before laughing an attack at Simon.
Selene points her staff at Simon with a ball of mana in front of it, ready to fire off. On the other hand, Lucia points her sword at Simon's neck, both of them looking annoyed and ticked off.
Suddenly Selene spoke with a menacing yet soft voice
"Excuse me, lil bro, can you say that again?"
Simon looked at them and held up his hand scared at what might happen to him and he suddenly shouts
"Alright, alright, I'm sorry, just spare me, please, Sis and Lucia. I swear I won't do that again. Please, just don't punish me with one of your devilish pranks!"
Both of them puts down their weapons. Lucia then pulled on Simon's clothes for his attention and she speaks in an embarrassed voice
"So about the pizza can we please buy some already we're starving"
Simon sighed and asked for the toppings, sparking yet another debate about which topping to get between Lucia and Selene: All meat or pineapple.
Lucia starts off the argument by listing some reasons why they should buy pineapple pizza; Simon just sighs and watches as they both argue with each other, already ordering both.
First off, pineapple on pizza is a bold fusion of sweet and savory. That burst of juicy pineapple cuts through the cheese and sauce like sunshine on a cloudy day. It's refreshing, unique, and—dare I say—adventurous. People say fruit doesn't belong on pizza, but tomatoes are fruit, so that argument is toast.
Selene chuckled to herself and bounced back with her own reason why they should buy meat lover pizza.
Nice try, Lucia, but let's be real. Pizza is about indulgence. It's about satisfying that primal craving for something hearty, savory, and filling. All meat pizza delivers on every level—pepperoni, sausage, bacon, ham—every bite is flavor-packed and satisfying. You don't eat pizza to feel refreshed; you eat it to feel victorious.
Lucia adds more reasons why they should buy pineapple pizza while also trying to debunk why they shouldn't buy pineapple pizza.
But Selene, not everyone wants a salt bomb on the dough. Pineapple adds contrast. It's culinary balance! It pairs perfectly with ham or bacon too—it's not just about sweetness, it's about variety. And besides, it's fun! Pineapple lovers have passion. We're rebels with a cause.
Selene confidently responds to Lucia with a calm and mature voice.
Passion doesn't make it right! Pineapple is polarizing. You can bring a meat pizza to a party and everyone's happy. Bring pineapple? Suddenly there's a civil war. Plus, meat pizza gives you protein, satisfaction, and zero debate—just good vibes.
Lucia kept on trying to argue against Selene
And she makes her bold statement.
Or maybe people are afraid of change! Pineapple pizza challenges the norm. It brings people together in discussion. It's a symbol of innovation—just like the first person who decided to stuff cheese into the crust.
Selene finishes her argument with a conclusion realizing Simon already ordered both flavors.
If you want innovation, try a meat lover's calzone. Pineapple is a gamble. Meat is a guarantee.
Before Lucia can say anything more Simon interrupts by coming through the bedroom door with 2 boxes of pizza
"Both of you shut up I already bought both."
Lucia looked at Simon with a glint in her eyes with an innocent smile and she hugged him thanking him
"Thank you so much, Simon!!!"
Selene looked deeply at Lucia and chuckled before teasing her making Lucia flustered and making her face light up making her feel Facebook heat up
"Hey, don't steal Simon just yet. He's too young to marry anyone; just wait for him right now, Lucia."
Lucia playfully punches Selene's arms while she shouts at her
"Shut up, shut up, shut up!"
Simon looks at them with confusion watching the situation get out of hand before he blurts something about the talk with Magnus earlier
"I had a bet with father-"
Before Simon could say anything else Selene' jumped at him and squished his cheeks while worryingly asking him question after question
"About what? Can you win? Do you need help? Were you hurt by your father? What about our brother's do you think they'll sabotage you?-"
Lucia watches as Selene bombards Simon with endless questions; she giggles under her breath, finding this situation funny.
Simon shakes Selene to snap her back to reality before he talks to her in a confused tone
"Let's talk while we eat alright"
Selene took a deep breath before continuing
"Fine, so first what bet?"
Simon looked at her while munching on a pizza slice
"That I'll win in the upcoming tournament in the academy, and if I win he'll give me his support"
Before Selene could ask another question Lucia suddenly interrupted Simon
"Oh, the tournament? I guess I won't feel bored now that someone can give me a challenge"
Simon smiles at Lucia and challenges her to see which one of them is better in combat
"Alright then, let's have a duel after the tournament it is disappointing that mages and fighters have different Rankings
Both Lucia and Selene laugh at Simon's remark about the ranking, and then Selene interrupts Simon's rant about that
"Well I think you're the only one since if the tournament didn't decide fighters and mages I'd be unfair since mages have long casting times and only battle mages really have a chance of winning"
Simon processes this and agrees with Selene, and he remembers about her question
"Oh yeah for your questions Father didn't hurt me, and yeah Lucian might sabotage me but Eldric won't care to be honest, speaking of that I hear both of them were beaten up by you, Sis"
Selene giggles and smiles at Simon
"Yeah I did, and if Lucian does sabotage you at the tournament I'll beat him up"
Suddenly they hear a noise from outside.
