Chapter 47 - Kara The Mind Breaker

Natasha sat at the head of the table, fingers drumming against the polished wood, the news report playing in the background. The entire harem had gathered, their expressions ranging from exasperation to quiet amusement. Wanda sipped her tea, Jean lazily twirled a strand of hair, Storm crossed her arms, and Rogue leaned back in her chair with a smirk. Gwen, ever the agent of chaos, simply looked entertained. Mystique, now fully embedded in their inner circle, sat in the corner, observing.

"I hate to say it," Natasha finally said, breaking the silence, "but we can't let Kara keep thinking she's solving problems like this."

Jean exhaled sharply, pinching the bridge of her nose. "She scared an entire congressional session into temporary submission, and somehow, she thinks that means it's over."

Storm shook her head. "Not just that. She made it worse."

Wanda grinned behind her teacup. "I, for one, found it highly entertaining."

Rogue snorted. "The look on that senator's face? Priceless."

Natasha sighed, rubbing her temples. "Entertaining, sure. Effective? Not so much. Senator Kelly just doubled down. The bill isn't dying—it's getting worse."

Mystique chuckled darkly. "That's how politicians are. The moment they feel threatened, they cling harder to their power."

Jean leaned forward, resting her chin on her hands. "Then let's strip it away from them."

The room stilled for a moment.

Natasha arched an eyebrow. "I assume you have a plan?"

Jean smirked. "We own the battlefield. We have resources. Influence. And most importantly, I have a very particular set of skills."

Wanda chuckled. "Oh, this should be good."

Jean's eyes gleamed. "We don't attack them. We convert them."

Rogue tilted her head. "How?"

Jean's smirk widened. "I'll do what I do best. Mind parasites."

Silence.

Storm exhaled slowly. "You're suggesting we… psychically rewire members of Congress?"

Jean shrugged, utterly unbothered. "It's cleaner than assassinating them."

Gwen whistled. "That's both evil and incredibly efficient."

Wanda set her cup down. "I like it."

Mystique, now fully invested, leaned forward. "You can make them worship Kara?"

Jean smiled. "Oh, it won't even be forced. I'll enhance their natural inclinations. A few mental nudges, a couple of obsessive fixations, and suddenly, our key players in Congress will be Kara's most devoted admirers."

Natasha smirked. "And the bill?"

Jean flicked her wrist. "Dead on arrival. Like most political efforts, it'll collapse from within."

The harem exchanged glances.

Rogue whistled. "Damn. That's cold."

Storm leaned back. "And genius."

Natasha tapped her fingers against the table, considering. "We won't tell Kara."

Wanda smirked. "Obviously."

Mystique crossed her legs, her voice thoughtful. "And what about Kelly?"

Jean's expression darkened slightly. "Let him struggle. The more resistance he faces, the more desperate he'll become."

Gwen chuckled. "I love watching men spiral."

Natasha exhaled. "Alright. Do it."

Jean stretched her fingers, a subtle psychic energy pulsing from her. "Already started."

Meanwhile, in Washington D.C.…

Senator Kelly was sweating.

Yesterday, he had been in control. Today, he was drowning.

Calls were flooding in from Congresswomen, governors, and high-ranking female officials—all of them suddenly opposing the Mutant Registration Act.

This didn't make sense.

He had support. He had the momentum.

And now, it was falling apart.

He wiped his brow, his hands shaking.

"The bill is collapsing, sir," his aide stammered. "Key votes are… shifting."

Kelly clenched his jaw. "Why?"

The aide hesitated. "They… they all keep mentioning her."

Kelly stiffened.

"She's too beautiful, too powerful, too—"

"SHUT UP!" Kelly slammed his fist on the desk.

This was insanity.

He needed to fight back. Before it was too late.

Back at the mansion…

Jean stretched, looking pleased.

"It's done."

Natasha exhaled. "That fast?"

Jean smirked. "Politics isn't that complicated. Just needed the right push."

Storm raised an eyebrow. "And what about Kelly?"

Jean's smirk didn't fade. "He'll keep fighting. But now? He'll be doing it alone."

Wanda laughed softly. "This is my favorite kind of political reform."

Natasha nodded. "Good. That's one problem down. But we need a long-term solution."

The room went quiet.

Storm leaned forward. "We can't keep doing this in random bursts. We need structure."

Jean nodded. "We need an organization."

Natasha exhaled. "Something permanent."

Wanda smirked. "A way to ensure no one threatens Kara's world."

Rogue tilted her head. "Sounds like we're talkin' about somethin' bigger."

Natasha met Jean's gaze.

Jean simply smiled.

They didn't have a name for it yet.

But this was the beginning.

The foundation of something far greater.

And none of them planned to stop.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the mansion…

Cyclops was done.

"I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!"

Wolverine, arms crossed, nodded. "Told ya."

Beast, rubbing his smooth, hairless head, sighed. "It's becoming… difficult."

Cyclops clenched his fists. "HE'S COMPLETELY UNHINGED."

Inside Xavier's office, the once-dignified leader of the X-Men was twirling his luscious locks in the mirror.

"Perfection," Xavier whispered to himself, flipping his hair dramatically.

Cyclops turned to Wolverine. "We need to do something."

Wolverine gritted his teeth. "I know."

Beast adjusted his glasses. "But… what can we do?"

Silence.

Then, Cyclops straightened.

He turned toward the others, his eyes burning with determination.

"No more."

Wolverine raised an eyebrow. "You got a plan, bub?"

Cyclops exhaled sharply. "We take back our dignity."

Beast nodded solemnly.

The Bald Resistance wasn't finished yet.

Back in the common room…

Kara, still oblivious to everything happening behind the scenes, stretched her arms and smiled.

"Man," she said cheerfully, "politics is so easy."

The harem collectively sighed.

This was far from over.
