After the first five students heard their names being called they were ordered to step forward and stand in front of Sgt. Damascus and Lt. Ashley Grey.
This first group included Mikeal, Hector, Alexia and of course Griffin Hart who was actually someone that all three knew and quite familiar with and that person was Flash Sticks, the same guy who has unfinished business with Mikeal. Both Mikeal and Hector were quite surprised to see that Flash was actually Griffin, after years of going to school together they still didn't know his real name.
Mikeal was standing there speechless, he couldn't even believe his own two eyes.
Alexia knew what was going on between these two so in order to avoid the danger that could take place if both Griffin and Mikeal stood next to each other it would mean they would start to fight against each other, so she did one smart move. Alexia stood between the two.
While it was that obvious that these four old school mates weren't the only ones being called up front, there was another girl by the name of. Celine Gates, she was just your average normal teenage girl except that she had snowy white hair, green eyes and just like Hector she also wore glasses but hers were different from his.
Looking around and seeing his mates Hector couldn't help himself but start to bite his own fingernails, sweating so much he could replace a waterfall. Seeing what was happening to Hector, Mikeal just tapped him on his shoulder and gave him an assuring smile.
The smart person he was Hector knew exactly what Mikeal was telling him just by judging by his smile, he knew that the message was that 'everything was going to be okay'
And Hector wasn't the only on who got nervous all of them did and it wasn't because they didn't believe in themselves, nope that wasn't the case. The reason all of them were so nervous just that they were able to hide it better than Hector.
Is because of the same serious person who was looking straight at them, and if they thought that Lt. Ashley Grey was the one they shouldn't never mess with clearly they were way off script. Because Sgt. Damascus had this aura about him and everyone who was near him would swear on their own lives that they felt the atmosphere shift.
Waiting anxiously for their next order which they were awaiting from Sgt. Damascus who was busy talking to Lt. Ashley Grey both of them looking at some kind of files of all five candidates. Sgt. Damascus busy looking at them while he was going through their files.
All of that uneasiness made them feel uncomfortable, so signs of being nervous became that obvious to Mikeal, who looked at each one of them from Alexia who was now trying to dry off her wet palms, Celine who was busy mumbling some kind of calculations, to Griffin who was busy forming his fists. Which was disturbing because Mikeal wasn't so sure whether he was preparing for the test or those fists were for him.
Mikeal wasn't that much lucky either something did also bother him too and this time it wasn't the system and it's non-stop frequently notifications for the first time in awhile he felt normal, but the one thing that bothered him and gave him much of a hassle was his shoulder.
Not sure what really happened to him, which was understandable considering that he couldn't remember what had happened to him, the previous day so he was busy trying to stretch it out.
Finally the long and dreadful wait was now finally over, Sgt. Damascus and Lt. Ashley Grey closed off looking at their files and handed them to Lt. Ashley Grey who left them alone with Sgt. Damascus and went somewhere.
Finally, Mikeal and the others were called to stand in the five circles that were actually drawn for them in the colour of red, upon standing in the circle. Griffin couldn't help himself but get familiar with Celine who was really attractive, for someone with glasses.
"Hi." Griffin pushed Hector to the other side of the circle and took his circle.
It was no secret that Celine would blow him off, since she came into the academy each and every single guy out here has tried to get her attention but she just wouldn't entertain them.
"So, are you really going to blow me off just like that?" Griffin asked.
Everyone who was watching him couldn't believe what they were seeing, who was this guy who thought that he was better than everyone else. After all Griffin was really handsome and good looking, he was tall, had a nice body and skin, his eyes were charmingly green and his voice was hypnotizing and his orange spikey hair.
"Who does this guy thinks he is? Does he really think that a girl like her would go for a guy like him?" Negative comments were circling around the back.
All of them heard the commotion about Griffin's name, it looked like he even did this on purpose just to spite every single one of them.
"I'm sorry, let me try this again. Hi there, I'm Griffin and if may I ask what is your name?" Griffin asked as he placed his hand out.
To finish it off Griffin gave Celine a charming smile, as much as she tried so hard not to give in right after seeing him humble himself and smiling at her, she just gave in.
"Hello, my name is Celine." Celine shook the hand of Griffin.
With what the other guys and girls who were into Griffin, jealousy was now building in their hearts and hatred was created. Now every guy hated Griffin and every girl hated Celine.
Sgt. Damascus spoke into his ear piece.
"Okay, send them off."
The circles that they were all standing in lit up with blue colour and released some essence, then high tech transportation circle devices appeared under them.
Still charmed by the beauty of the essence that was released, what just happened blew their minds off.
"Woah, that's awesome." Everyone one thought.
"You better buckle up." Sgt. Griffin warned them.
None of them knew what the hell he meant and assumed that maybe he was telling them to hold on as they were about to be transported to another place.
But it wasn't like that as soon as they beamed up and were being transported, the gang all screamed in pain as those who were left behind witnessed their bodies and flesh disintegrate.
Within seconds tops each and everyone of them had appeared somewhere else, a place that was abandoned and looking like no one has been there for decades. Buildings were destroyed and decaying, water was splashing almost everywhere and there was this vomiting stench was all around the air.
One by one, all of them except for Mikeal threw up right after a minute being there and it wasn't cause of the stench by the after effects of the transportation.
Mikeal just stood there not sure what was causing them to throw up, unprepared a notification came up.
[Unknown substance has been detected]
[Unknown substance has been cleared in body]
[Donor is now immune to toxic substances/ elements]
[Immunity: 25 %]
Mikeal read through the status screen notification report, but was interrupted by Lt. Ashley Grey.
Who appeared out of nowhere and joined the group.
The others were still throwing up.
"What is happening to us?" Griffin asked trying to keep it down.
"Don't worry guys what you are experiencing is normal for you've just traveled through time." Lt. Ashley Grey informed them.
"Please make it stop." Hector pleading.
"You'll be okay just now, and what about you are you sure that you are feeling well?" she asked Mikeal.
"Oh, yes I feel fine." Mikeal smiled.
Lt. Ashley Grey assumed that maybe Mikeal was lying and trying to be strong but after examining him and taking a closer look, she saw that he was serious.
"Impressive." She spoke through her teeth.
After a few seconds the others stopped throwing up, and joined Mikeal and Lt. Grey who was holding a table that looked exactly like their given smart cards. Obviously she was doing something as they could see her reading their vitals after she scanned each of them.
"Okay, you all seem to be fine impressive if I say so to myself."
She came and took their cards and then called up the first one.
"Hector House, may you please step forward for me please."
Hector still nervous each step he took was slowly and steady.
"Okay, now I see if you don't mind may you please take one weapon from here." Lt. Ashley Grey stepped back.
A mysterious black shelf appeared containing weapons that weren't of normal human nature, these were specially crafted by expects.
"Are you serious, are you seriously giving me a brand?" Hector couldn't believe it.
"More like borrowing you really, let's first see how you do on the test then maybe if you pass you might get a chance to have one made for you." Lt. Ashley Grey corrected him.
