"Didn't he just get over the heat cycle? Why does he have to fight us all of a sudden?" Rowan asked, eyeing Cassian, who was preparing to spar with his subordinate.
It had already been a nightmare during the night of his rut when Cassian had beaten them mercilessly. That night, he had been so powerful that even the combined strength of ten men had failed to restrain him.
Even though they were healed, the lingering ache of his blows still haunted their bodies.
"It's not the heat cycle," Darius muttered, exchanging a knowing look with Rowan. "It's a decision he regrets."
Rowan groaned. "What has he done now to take his anger out on us? Why can't he just use his brain in the first place instead of regretting his decisions later?"
Rowan wasn't just Cassian's Delta; he was his friend too. And knowing how thick-headed Cassian could be at times, he couldn't help but want to punch him instead.
