Norris cast a trick, gust(0 tier spell).
Knowing himself, he had cast; levitate(0 tier spell) trick on himself prior. This spell counteracted gravity on a set target. In combination with gust, which creates a burst of air to propel, he successfully evaded the spell cast by Norris with speed.
Norris had known he would be attacked. If it was him, he would attack too. Playing dirty when something important is at stake is what he would do.
Norris having observed the creatures...projections in this mind scape, had come to a conclusion. They are anything but intelligent.
They are very mechanical. In the first node, the creatures he faced before reaching the griffin and it's cousin; the griffin descendant, weren't important enough to be remembered.
But despite the overwhelming slaughter, they still came at him. This is a sign of little intelligence. Even their survival instinct was surpressed.
The memory influx received didn't really affect him much.
Now he was sure this Chaotic Norris will follow his instinct of taking control of the situation. A surprise attack will lead an enemy into your rhythm.
He didn't recognize the spell and he didn't want to. He was not ready to play house with his other self. He unleashed the fire power. The tank shot out an armour piercing shot.
A shockwave rippled outward. The ground turned to liquid, devouring plants. The shattered ammunition bled heavy metals. Fire bloomed where the round's incendiary core kissed dry grass. Flames spread outwards, blackening oaks whose leaves fell as ash-snow.
Norris look at this scene with satisfaction. The impact weapon provided satisfied some of his violent aesthetics.
Energy shots are good and all, but in a magic world where energy is the main theme, they seem kinda cute. Mages would try manipulation. Warriors will try having a feel, to see if the energy can strengthen their bodies and also produce resistance.
While it will still have as much damage as before, different ways to counteract it's damage will be produced.
The scene rewinding back to normal with only the foreign element; chaos Norris was really affected.
Chaos Norris managed to survive first round by using a shield generated from his robe. He started casting spells. Norris looked up and saw a magic circle like the ones from anime. Runes were being drawn. Patterns were being designed.
He was also chanting, though it took less time. Norris from his limited memory, looked at the magic circle resembling what could be called an array.
He understood that Norris had tried creating a way to cast spells more inline with his vision. The standard way of casting spells were chanting and gestures.
Norris was proud to say the least. At least in the otherworld he had made an impact. He paved a new path.
Though elated, that doesn't mean he wouldn't pummel this chaotic self. He used sonic disruption to break the concentration, then attacked again with a rail gun. This shattered chaos Norris.
As if something had been broken, it took of his disguise revealing the monster it was. The flesh wand grew like the monkey kings staff, the tendrils bigger. Norris was disgusted but perhaps he had become numb, he didn't freak out.
He took a machine gun and started firing rounds at the creature chaos Norrs...or whatever that stuff was, had become.
Due to the firepower, Norris managed to keep the monster at bay. Norris couldn't fire the tank and rail gun, two heavy players for a while. His energy source should come from the natural regeneration of his vegetable body. It should take like 20 seconds.
Norris had to hold on. The entity behind this could most likely understand that too. Norris though had a little advantage. Only him knew what this weapons do.
He went to fight with the chaotic Norris in a brawl. Norris was surprised how good he was at fighting.
"You go to the otherworld. You don't learn niche spellcasting schools but you learn necromancy and you became very good at fighting as a mage. But you didn't do this for combination of marital and magic. Instead it's so that you can have more means", Norris sighs. No matter how he looks at it he's kind of the worst transmigator. "Curse you transmigator god, I wasn't given a system. "
The fight being too easy, Norris mused. But the moment something the entity took over the chaos spawn he swiftly dropped a shock grenade.
Norris had being waiting for any weird changes. He felt the change in fighting style. Like a beginner efootball player gave his elder brother the phone to play with.
Norris had always kept in mind that this whole set up might be a game for the entity.
Norris couldn't comprehend the strength of this entity. But he can easily imagine how a human child will look like when toying with an ant.
Slowly cornering the ant. Block all the escape spaces. Slowly do so till they become bored and finish it off.
The fight till now looked easy but that might just be because the entity just enjoys giving him hope. The despair after seeing hope would be shattering.
It's an open conspiracy. As long as you've decided to survive, no matter the reason, you will surely hold on to that sense of hope. Norris is betting on himself. He's betting that with more information, he'll be able to see a way to use the false hope as a springboard. The enemy contempt for him is very good.
He had a feeling that something was supposed to have happened. But instead, since his train of thought was different from how the entity thought he would react, he didn't trigger whatever he was supposed to.

After the shock grenade, twenty seconds had passed. With Norris finally using the tank to kill his other self.
While waiting for the inevitable flood of memories, his creation came to him again.
"Creator, did you experience disdain or aversion towards the circumstances of your existence, specifically the manner in which you came into being? Furthermore, in light of your actions diverging from your established principles, what are your sentiments regarding this incongruity?"
Norris asked, genuinely confused. "Eh, what are you talking about?"
His creation was silent for while, as if he had encountered shock. This might be it's first time. It replied, "This Memory Node was deliberately crafted to facilitate introspection, allowing you to confront the genesis of your existence and the evolution of your being. The intended purpose of this exercise was to subject your psychological framework to a rigorous examination, guiding you toward a profound understanding of your own destructive tendencies. However, instead of engaging in this introspective process, you opted to bypass it entirely, resorting to a violent confrontation with your own psyche.."
"So the entity wanted to see me fall into self doubt about what I have become?", Norris asked. He mused "playing with be as I suspected".
He answered his creation, "Well, to be honest, I didn't feel bad at all. I mean, I would do the same if it were me. I have vigorous self-love. I might not be right, but as long as I'm in peace with myself then life goes on."
"Creator, I am presently experiencing a state of perplexity, a phenomenon commonly referred to as confusion among humans. Upon reflection, I have come to recognize the distinction between my own nature and that of intelligent species. Nevertheless, Creator, I am resolute in my conviction regarding one aspect: .You're sick"
Norris was taking aback. But thinking about mages, which one of them was really normal. "Too harsh, too harsh", he chuckled. The final showdown was coming.
Norris received a flood of memories. With it though, his temperament changed. Becoming heavier, tinged in melancholy with a scholarly air to him. But something different was tinged in his eyes. "It seems like we have a plan".
