CHAPTER 45
The next morning. Aurora was on her way alone to school. Ade was already at the school. Every Monday her class starts first. She forgot to tell Max that she wanted to talk to his friend, Niko. She'd call him when she arrived.
When she was finally in the school's parking lot, she saw Ade's car. There was a vacant spot beside hers so she parked there. While she was on the way to her class, she contacted Max. It took some before he answered. What's he up to now?
"Hello?" She was a bit startled when he answered at last.
"Good morning, Max." She greeted cheerfully. She smiled though she wasn't facing him.
"Morning to you too, Aurora." There was no emotion in his voice. Maybe she really had bothered him.
"Am I disturbing you? What are you up to?" She continued.
There was a bit of silence before he answered her. She even heard him sigh through the phone. "No. It's okay. What is it?"
