Moira stared at her phone screen, her breath caught in her throat. The words on the display blurred as her hands trembled.
"Is this seriously happening...?" She whispered in shock.
There on the screen was the perfect narration of the exact conversation she had just had with Clara and Elena—the nervous glances, the hushed tones, even the way Clara had nearly knocked over her chair when she rushed to leave.
All of it were captured with disturbing precision in a chapter that had been posted the previous night.
"Last night..."
As she read further, Moira's shock deepened. The novel revealed something Clara had been too frightened to say: she had been at the Bradley's residence the day, Mrs. Bradley died.
According to the chapter, Clara had dropped by to pick up something she had forgotten during a previous visit.
