Shuri stood on her balcony, gazing out at the tranquil river view, occasionally glancing at the neighboring balcony.
It was already 10 PM, but Noran's unit remained dark.
He usually arrived home around the same time as she did, but tonight he was late.
Shuri shook her head, mentally scolding herself. "Are you crazy? Why are you looking out for him when you're supposed to avoid him?"
Sighing quietly, she wondered why she cared so much about whether he was home or not.
Shuri knew she shouldn't be doing this—letting her thoughts revolve around him.
Just as she resolved to go back inside, a sudden flash of light caught her eye.
The living room in Noran's unit lit up, casting a warm glow onto the balcony.
She watched as Noran walked out, talking on the phone, his expression serious and cold.
When Noran noticed her staring from a distance, his stern face softened, and a warm smile spread across his lips.
Shuri felt her heart skip a beat, and she quickly retreated back inside.
