Chapter 9 - ARC 9: The Journey to True Cosmic Power

Luna was hurled to the moon. In the silence, she felt her body weightless, drifting aimlessly. Yet, shadows of the past resurfaced in her mind—Arkanos. She saw herself training alongside her master.

"Luna!" Arkanos' deep voice shattered her reverie. "What are you doing? Why are you daydreaming?"

Luna snapped out of it and stared at Arkanos in confusion. For a moment, she couldn't comprehend what was happening. But as her awareness returned, she realized this was a training session. Without hesitation, she drew her lightning sword and prepared to fight.

The battle began. But this time, it was different. Luna's attacks were weaker. She was continuously pushed back, and Arkanos effortlessly struck at her vital points.

"What's wrong with you?" Arkanos asked sharply. "Your skills are not as they used to be. You are far weaker than before."

Luna bit her lip, feeling lost. She had never felt like this before. Normally, she could match Arkanos in every training session. But now, her body felt heavy, her mind clouded with darkness.

The training ended, and suddenly the world shifted. Luna once again saw horrifying visions—Astrodog and The Void's attack. One by one, her friends perished. She watched in terror as the queen was murdered before her eyes.

Then, the scene changed again. Now, she stood in the middle of the battle between Arkanos and The Void. She tried to save her master, but it was all in vain. It was nothing but a memory of the past. Once again, Arkanos fell before her.

Trauma struck her once more. She collapsed to her knees, crying in the void. The entire planet turned dark, as if Luna was trapped in solitude and sorrow.

Elsewhere, Astrodog was thrown onto the planet Inferno Frame. He saw Lumix fighting against a fire dragon.

"No!!" Astrodog screamed, trying to shield himself from the dragon's fiery breath as he closed his eyes.

When he reopened them, the world had changed. A dim light enveloped the figure before him, and a gentle warmth seeped into his skin. He was cradled in the lap of a woman—Stella, his wife. Stella's eyes radiated tenderness, her smile bringing an almost surreal tranquility. With a delicate touch, she caressed Astrodog's head, as if trying to soothe him from the fears and pain that tormented his heart.

"What's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?" Stella asked gently.

Astrodog jolted, fear gripping his heart as he hugged Stella tighter, unwilling to lose the warmth that had always comforted him. But in an instant, her body began to fade, fine specks of dust falling from her fingertips, lifted by an invisible wind. His eyes widened, his hands tried to hold her tighter, but it was in vain—Stella's figure vanished like grains of sand carried by the night breeze.

"No… no… NOOOO!" he screamed, his voice echoing into the void, filling the air with unbearable grief. His chest tightened, his eyes overflowed with tears that he could no longer hold back, and the world around him suddenly turned pitch black, mourning his irreplaceable loss.

Meanwhile, Astrocat awoke on the water planet Aqua Prime. Before him stood Nyx, gazing at him intently.

"Are you all right?" Nyx asked.

Astrocat blinked in confusion. His wounds had healed, and he was on the shore.

"Come with me," Nyx ordered. "We are about to discover the truth."

They walked towards the ocean. Suddenly, bubbles of air surrounded their bodies, allowing them to breathe underwater. They dove into the depths, passing through glowing blue caves.

"I just touched the Aetherium Nexus artifact," Astrocat said seriously during their journey. Nyx glanced at him and replied, "That artifact is connected to all the others. Anyone who touches it gains a path to true cosmic power."

As they descended deeper, they felt the immense pressure of the water, as if the world itself was rejecting their presence. However, a miracle occurred—a soft blue light shimmered around them, seemingly shielding them from the crushing depths. Nyx explained that the energy of Aqua Eternis could only connect with the core of knowledge stored in an ancient underwater cave. This cave had long safeguarded cosmic secrets, hidden from beings unready to receive true wisdom.

Upon reaching a grand chamber, glowing crystals resembling submerged stars cast reflections in all directions, creating a magical atmosphere of both serenity and tension. In the near-sacred silence, they encountered a colossal being—a wise old turtle. His sturdy body was adorned with glowing moss, a sign that he had merged with the cosmic energy flow for millions of years. His every movement was slow yet dignified, reflecting wisdom that transcended countless ages.

"Who is this cat?" the turtle asked in a deep voice.

"This is Astrocat," Nyx replied. "Once, there was another cat like him who came here."

The turtle introduced himself as the Turtle King, the oldest being in the galaxy who had lived for millions of years. He spoke of an impending cosmic collision and the birth of a new galaxy. Within it, there would be a planet called Terra, where various beings would coexist.

"But that peace will not last forever," he continued. "A species called the Hominids will rise to dominate Terra. At first, they will maintain balance, but in the end, their greed will bring destruction upon the planet."

Astrocat remained silent before finally speaking, "I will try to defeat the evil entity and build a new galaxy. Every life has its guardian. Every creation has its end. And in destiny, there is always wisdom."

The Turtle King smiled. His body transformed into the Leviathan's Core artifact, granting Astrocat knowledge of how to create a new galaxy.

On the moon, Luna was trapped in endless sorrow. The pale moonlight wrapped around her trembling body but brought no warmth. The air around her was silent—so silent that she could hear the echoes of her own stifled sobs. Her swollen eyes stared into the void, her heart drowning in wounds that refused to heal. Every breath felt heavy as if the weight of the world bore down upon her shoulders. Then, from the mist shrouding her thoughts, a figure emerged—a white-winged feline woman. The figure approached with gentle steps, radiating both kindness and an undeniable authority. Her wings glowed faintly, as if carrying a sliver of hope into the void that was on the verge of swallowing Luna whole.

"To unlock the true power of the Heart of Light, you must rid yourself of all hatred in your heart," she spoke softly.

In the vision, Luna saw Astrocat standing before her, his eyes filled with sincerity, extending his hand gently. A soft light surrounded him, creating a warmth so real amidst the emptiness consuming Luna. "Come, Luna," Astrocat said, his voice calm yet brimming with hope. Luna looked at his hand, feeling a warmth she had lost long ago. Tears welled in her eyes, trembling between fear and hope. In that instant, all the pain, sorrow, and vengeance that had imprisoned her began to fade. With a quivering heart, she reached out, feeling a grip so real and strong—a grasp that pulled her back into the light.

Luna extended her hand, letting go of all her resentment toward The Void. The moonlight illuminated her body. Now, she had transformed into a Priest Warrior, gaining the power of healing.

On Inferno Frame, Astrodog saw his wife's silhouette.

"I exist in another world now," Stella said, her voice as soft as a whispering wind, soothing his weary soul. Her gaze was full of love, tracing Astrodog's battle-worn face, both the visible and the hidden wounds in his heart. "Let go of your vengeance, and live happily." Her warm hand caressed his face one last time, as if engraving an eternal memory. "I will always be waiting for you, my superhero..." her voice wavered as though holding back an inevitable farewell. Tears clung to the corners of her eyes, mingling with the gentle light beginning to envelop her body. "I love you." Her words echoed in the air, blending with the wind before her figure gradually faded like morning dew vanishing with the rising sun.

Astrodog held his breath, reaching out for the vanishing image, but all that remained was emptiness. His heart pounded as if stopping in sync with Stella's departure. Only silence remained, carrying an unspoken pain.

Astrodog closed his eyes, allowing a final tear to fall, dampening his cheek before he took a deep breath. His chest still felt heavy, his heart still ached, but he knew—he had to move forward. With firm steps, despite his shattered heart, he walked toward the Soulframe artifact. The air around him trembled, sensing the depth of sorrow and loss within him.

But there was no time to dwell in grief. From the blazing shadows, a massive dragon emerged, its eyes glowing like eternal embers. Its roar shook the ground, spewing fire so intense that the air itself seemed to burn.

Astrodog gripped his axe tightly. His breath was ragged, his body exhausted, but the fire in his heart burned fiercely. With a roar that echoed across the battlefield, he leaped forward, swinging his axe toward the dragon. Their attacks clashed repeatedly, the impact shaking the earth, sending dust and rubble into the air.

The dragon's flames struck Astrodog, sending him flying backward. His chest heaved, pain coursing through every fiber of his being. But in his mind, he remembered Stella, her final message. He would not retreat. He would not surrender.

With all his remaining strength, he leaped high, spinning in the air before swinging his axe with all his might. The axe glowed with a fierce red light, cleaving the dragon in two with power beyond his own limits. The dragon's final roar echoed as its body split apart, exploding into embers that scattered into the sky.

Astrodog fell to the ground, his body trembling from exhaustion. Yet, in his grasp, his axe now glowed with a new fire—not just one that burned his enemies, but one that symbolized his unwavering determination. Before him, the Soulframe artifact pulsed with energy, merging into his body. Warmth surged through him, revitalizing his muscles and spirit. His eyes widened as he felt a newfound power rising within him.

His axe was no longer just a weapon—it had transformed into a legendary armament imbued with pure fire. With a single swing, he could now summon a Fire Tornado, a swirling inferno capable of consuming everything in its path. This power was not just a weapon—it was a symbol of his indomitable spirit, forged through loss and unwavering resolve.

Now, his axe held the power of the Fire Tornado.

The Void and Azrak were cast into the deepest dark planet, Noctis Abyss, a world cloaked in eternal shadows. A dense black fog covered the atmosphere, while the starless sky flickered with streaks of darkness like fractures in reality. Amidst the eerie landscape, they gazed upon an ancient, majestic palace radiating a sinister aura, illuminated by the dim glow of abyssal energy like an unhealed wound in the sky.

Without hesitation, they entered the palace, walking through long corridors adorned with ancient carvings and statues of forgotten entities. The cold air carried faint whispers, guiding them toward a vast chamber with a colossal altar at its center. Resting upon the altar, encircled by glowing ancient runes, lay the final artifact—Dark Genesis.

The Void cautiously approached the artifact. As his hand touched it, a thick black light surged outward, creating fractures in the air as though reality itself was unraveling. The ancient inscriptions on the artifact's surface glowed crimson, revealing the origin of Dimention—the entity born from eternal void. This being was not merely a creature but a primordial force capable of opening portals to other galaxies, consuming entire planets, and dragging civilizations into oblivion.

As The Void merged the artifact with the others, the sky of Noctis Abyss trembled violently. A vortex of dark energy erupted, unleashing waves of destruction across the cosmos. Planets shifted, colliding with one another, and were sucked into the rift forming in the galactic sky.

The Void and Azrak swiftly left the planet using the power of their protective shields. They soared away, watching from a distance as Noctis Abyss collapsed and vanished into endless darkness.

As The Void grasped it, a black light spread from the artifact, creating cracks in the air as if reality itself was beginning to shatter. Its contents revealed a terrifying secret—the origin of Dimention, an entity born from darkness and eternal void. It was not merely a creature but a primordial force that consumed planets, drowning galaxies in endless destruction.

Black flames engulfed the sky of Erebus Abyss, forming an expanding vortex of energy. The Void realized that by combining this artifact with the others, he had opened a gateway to something far more terrifying than he had ever imagined. Azrak stared at him with sharp eyes, aware that they had reached a point of no return.

As the artifacts merged, a thunderous roar shook the galaxy. The sky fractured like shattered glass, unleashing a vortex of dark energy that absorbed all remaining light. Once magnificent planets teeming with life now collided violently, creating blinding cosmic explosions that annihilated everything into oblivion.

The heroes floated helplessly in space, witnessing the massive destruction. Their eyes widened in disbelief and pain. Luna clutched her sword tightly, gasping as she watched the world they had fought for crumble into chaos. Astrocat clenched his fists, feeling powerless in the face of devastation they could not prevent. Meanwhile, Astrodog, exhausted and covered in wounds, stared into the void with determined eyes, searching for a glimmer of hope amid the destruction threatening to consume them all.

But the destruction was not over. From the darkness tearing through the sky, The Void emerged, his body surrounded by flickering black energy, constantly shifting like an ever-changing shadow. Azrak stood beside him, his eyes gleaming sharply, wielding a dark sword that pulsed as if alive.

"You're too late! This is the end of everything!" The Void roared before raising his hand to the sky. Suddenly, black lightning streaked through the heavens, splitting the sky and striking the three heroes. The deadly attack, Voidstorm Wrath, summoned a storm of dark energy that sought to consume them.

Astrocat swiftly dodged, his eyes narrowing as he swung his wind blade, unleashing Celestial Gale, a razor-sharp wind slash toward The Void. Luna, with lightning speed, leaped and brandished her glowing sword, executing Lightning Rend, a radiant slash aimed directly at The Void. Meanwhile, Astrodog channeled his strength into his now-blazing axe, swinging it fiercely to release Infernal Cleave, a fiery strike that tore through the space before him.

Their relentless attacks struck The Void, shattering the black energy shield protecting him. A burst of energy erupted, causing The Void to stumble slightly, his eyes gleaming with rage.

"Ha! You think that's enough?!" he scoffed, raising his black staff and unleashing Abyssal Beam, a dark laser beam that shot straight at them. But Astrocat quickly leaped forward, blocking the beam with his sword. A massive explosion ensued, sending him hurtling backward.

Luna seized the opportunity and leaped high, flipping in the air before delivering a powerful Thunderous Leap, a descending slash that struck The Void's arm, causing black blood to spill. The Void growled in pain, but before he could retaliate, Astrodog unleashed his most powerful attack—Blazing Tornado, a massive vortex of fire that enveloped The Void, trapping him in an inferno that grew larger by the second.

The Void's body trembled, his battle cloak began to tear, and his dark energy shield was nearly destroyed. However, before they could celebrate victory, Azrak suddenly darted from the shadows, using Shadow Step to approach The Void. In a swift motion, he plunged a small dagger into The Void's body.

The three heroes gasped, their eyes widening in shock at Azrak's sudden betrayal. "No... What are you doing?!" Luna cried out.

Azrak remained silent, only offering a faint smile as he took all the artifacts The Void had gathered. Calmly, he drenched them in the black blood seeping from The Void's wounds. The sky fractured further, a massive rift opening in the heavens, and from within, an enormous shadowy hand emerged.

That hand was followed by a colossal figure, towering beyond imagination, faceless, with three glowing red eyes. Dimention had awakened. Its dark aura blanketed the entire sky, forcing the heroes to stagger under its immense pressure.

Dimention raised its hand, summoning giant black orbs that swiftly hurtled toward them. The Orbs of Annihilation engulfed them in destruction. The heroes tried to evade, but the speed of the attack left them almost frozen in place.

Before they could counterattack, Dimention unleashed Infernal Thunder, fiery lightning that struck Astrodog directly in the chest. His body was flung far away, crashing unconscious. Luna and Astrocat gasped, but there was no time for panic. Dimention was already preparing to fire Eclipse Beam, a devastating dark energy blast aimed at Luna. She had no time to dodge, her body stiffened with fear—but at the last moment, Astrocat leaped in front of her, shielding her with his own body.

"Astrocat!!" Luna screamed as her companion took the full brunt of the attack, his body violently thrown back, severely wounded.

Dimention was not finished. With a swift motion, it raised its hand and cast a venomous spell, Venomous Curse, spreading toxic dark mist across the battlefield. The suffocating fog surrounded them, paralyzing the remaining heroes. Their bodies froze, slowly losing consciousness, their breathing growing weaker.

Astrocat, Luna, and Astrodog were now trapped in darkness, nearly consumed entirely. Astrocat's consciousness began to fade, and for the first time, he felt the true fear of defeat.

Would they be able to rise again?

Their eyes widened in disbelief and pain. Luna clutched her sword tightly, gasping as she watched the world they had fought for crumble into chaos. Astrocat clenched his fists, feeling powerless amidst the destruction they failed to stop. Meanwhile, despite his exhaustion and injuries, Astrodog gazed into the abyss with unwavering determination, searching for a sliver of hope in the devastation threatening to consume them all.

In the suffocating silence, only silent sobs and unspoken grief filled the void that now dominated the galaxy.

Then, Dimention fully emerged. The faceless titan with blazing red eyes arose from the abyss. It unleashed the Orbs of Annihilation, Infernal Thunder, and Shadow Beam. Astrodog collapsed, unconscious from the attack. Astrocat shielded Luna with his body, enduring the final strike.

But Dimention was relentless. With Venomous Curse, it immobilized the heroes. They began to lose consciousness, overwhelmed by the encroaching darkness. Could they endure?
