Chapter 2 - Continents.

"Who are you?!" Jin blurted out, his voice barely more than a baby's squeak.

A soft, ethereal voice echoed in his mind.

[I am your guide — the Essence of the Past. I will assist you in this world.]

Jin's tiny face twisted in surprise. "Damn, you sound mysterious as hell!" he said, excitement flickering in his eyes. "So, what's your purpose here?"

[To guide you toward your destiny — and help you achieve your ultimate goal.]

"Huh… I see. Well, thanks, I guess." Jin yawned and sprawled back into his crib, his infant body barely able to move.

After a moment of silence, curiosity gnawed at him. "Why was I even reborn here? Is this world different from where I came from?"

[Yes. This world is divided into four main continents:]

East – Wu Zhen Continent, Land of Cultivators.

West – Eldoria Continent, Land of Magic.

North – Mechronis Continent, Land of Technology and Machines.

South – Tian Long Domain, Land of Dragons.

Jin raised a tiny brow. "Huh. That actually sounds pretty damn fun… way better than my boring old world." His face shifted into mild boredom, as if even being reincarnated couldn't fully shake his indifference.

"Alright, mysterious voice — you said I have a goal. What exactly is it?"

[Your goal is to save this world… and restore its balance.]

Jin blinked. "Save the world? What am I, some cliché hero?"

[Not quite. To restore balance, you must unite the races — through your offspring.]

Jin's baby face froze, his tiny mouth hanging open in shock. "…What?"

[To put it simply — by impregnating women of various races, you will inherit their powers, strengthen your bloodline, and create children capable of bridging the gaps between their people. Only by uniting the races through your descendants can this world be saved.]

Jin's expression twisted into something between disbelief and disgust. "The hell?! I didn't even get to touch a girl back in my old life — and now I'm supposed to be some kind of cosmic breeding machine? Also, I'm still a baby!"

[In time, your abilities will awaken. With them, you will understand your role — and the pleasure and power that comes with it.]

Jin groaned, covering his tiny face with his hands. "This is insane…"

[This is your current abilities.]

Bonus Effect: The more the woman desires or loves him, the stronger the permanent stat boosts after intimacy ends.]

"This is insane..." Jin muttered, his wide eyes drinking in the impossible reality around him. Awe flickered briefly — but just as quickly, it faded into something darker. His gaze lowered, shadows clouding his expression, like a bottomless abyss swallowing the light.

"But I don't want to be a hero… or some chosen pawn." His voice, though soft, carried a chilling edge — cold, detached, stripped of any hope or warmth. "In this life, no one will control me. Not fate. Not gods. Not anyone."

The light in his eyes dimmed further, leaving only a void — the gaze of someone who had already tasted chains too heavy for someone his age to bear.

"All I want… is to be free."

There was no passion in his voice. No righteous fury. Only the numb resolve of someone who had already been broken once — and refused to let it happen again.

On Earth, Jin had spent all of his 17 years as nothing more than a puppet dancing on strings held by his parents. Every day, every hour, every breath was dictated for him — what to study, how to behave, who to become. He was like a bird born with wings strong enough to fly anywhere, yet trapped in a gilded cage.

Even if the door stood wide open, he never left — because what was a bird without a place to belong? Without somewhere to land, even freedom was terrifying.

So he stayed. Studying subjects that meant nothing to him, memorizing answers he'd never use, suppressing the voice inside him that begged to be heard — until the day that voice grew loud enough to break through the silence.

And now, in this new world, that voice had become a vow.

[I understand.] The gentle voice of the system echoed in his mind, neither judging nor insisting. [But please… don't close off your heart just yet. I'll be here, by your side, no matter what path you choose.]

The system's words faded into silence, but Jin didn't respond. He simply lay there, staring at the unfamiliar sky above, wondering if freedom would feel any different in this world — or if it would just be another, shinier cage.

"I should've at least learned more about this world…" Jin thought, a faint sigh escaping his lips. "In case I ever changed my mind… after all, isn't that what it means to be human?"
