Chapter 14 - For Lena!

The dungeon Darius had raided, appeared on the association's radar. They got strange readings from it, so when they saw it, they decided the best thing to do was mark it as uncharted.

But then in a few hours of the dungeon appearing, it vanished, something like that had never happened before.

"Let me get this straight, the dungeon appeared out of nowhere. Stayed there for about five hours then vanished into thin air." Keith Danvers, the association's number four, spoke up, all his years in the field, he had never heard that a dungeon could vanish.

"It's bothering me too," His colleague spoke up, they were trying to find out what was going on. "I had sent a message to the Blazing Claw Guild since they were the only ones with an available S rank, but then the dungeon's disappearance made it look like we were calling them for a fluke."

Keith stared at the screen in front of him, looking at the surveillance of the dungeons around the city, and he could see that there was no way for a dungeon to disappear like that without warriors entering it.

"All this isn't going to work, the chairman will have questions. How on earth are we going to answer him?" Keith was looking at Liu, both men were bothered and couldn't pinpoint what was wrong.

While they were trying to collect their thoughts, the doors of their office swung open. They turned to see a lady holding a bunch of files, jolted in, she was fighting to breathe while trying to put the files in her hands together.

 "Sir, we have news about the uncharted dungeon's disappearance!" She yelled, she stared at Keith and Liu, waiting for them to respond.

Keith smacked his hand on his forehead, he was looking at the lady. "Usually when you make this sort of delivery you don't need our permission to explain or show us what you found."

"Yes right! I am so sorry!" The lady placed the files on the table, she pulled out a flash drive, plugged it into the desktop.

A clear video surveillance of the area, the dungeon, was shown on the screen.

Keith was looking at what she was doing, he kept tapping his fingers on the desk.

"So what are we looking at here?" He asked the lady, he didn't know what he was looking at.

The lady pointed to the screen as she paused the video, she turned to look at the two men behind her.

"Look here, you will see that someone is coming out of the dungeon and from the looks of it he had gone through hell there."

The men looked at the footage and they saw that there was a man in the video.

"Strange, a lone warrior. That's not something you see everyday." Liu was looking at the screen, something seemed to have his interest.

"A lone warrior? That dungeon was uncharted and when they happen it's usually an S rank dungeon or worse it's SSS ranked showing that even the best of the best would have a hard time there." Keith was not buying that there was a way for one man to walk into that kind of dungeon and walk out alive.

"Keith, I think you need to see this," Liu called, he was still glued to the screen and it seemed like he found something else.

"What is it?" Keith walked back to the computer, he looked at it to see what Liu wanted to show him.

"Please increase the resolution," Liu turned to the lady, he had a smile on his face.

The lady nodded as she made the image on the screen clearer than before. Keith seemed shocked when he saw who was on the screen.

"That makes it more impossible! He is an F-ranked Warrior and we even have his data here to prove it. So how on earth is he the one I am seeing there?!"

"You do know he is the only man we know to have survived a supposed City Ranked Dungeon?"Liu was looking at Keith, he wanted to make sure he would get him to understand that there were things that might seem impossible but were possible in all ways. "If I remember, they said he was wounded badly, and he was in a coma for weeks."

"Yeah, but the funny thing was that he was healed completely," Keith spoke up, he was puzzled, he didn't know how he was going to explain the report he had gotten about Darius.

"So there is one possible explanation," Liu turned to the screen, he zoomed in on Darius' picture. "Our friend here reawakened."

Down at the city's residential area, Darius can be seen doing pushups, he was not looking tired, bringing the attention of passersby.

"Look at him go! He must be a warrior, I know there is no way any normal guy can reach that much!"

"I lost count on 135, I thought he would stop but he is still going."

People were looking at Darius, he was not even bothered, the only thing on his mind was how he was going to be able to complete the last parts of the task before time ran out.

"204, 205, 206, 2o7!" Darius yelled as he kept on going, he was still trying to complete his morning training, he didn't want to get punished and it was not going to be funny if there was something deadlier than the skeletal warriors he faced that day.

"220!" Darius yelled as he gently went to the floor, he turned on his back. He looked around to see the people looking at him, they began to leave once they saw he was done.

'That's odd, why were they looking at me? I was only doing pushups.' Darius said as he stood up, he stretched his body. He had completed the daily task, he knew that Azree would not waste time to make sure he sent him into a pocket dimension.

"Azree, can you show me the stats board?" Darius requested, he wanted to see how far he had gone.

The screen popped up and on it was Darius' strength and mana with other things.

{Stats}

Strength: 54

Speed: 56

Stamina: 50

Intelligence: 34

Perception: 47

Mana: 100/100

{Distributeable points: 150}

"Hey, why is the intelligence bar the lowest there?!" Darius was not impressed with what he had seen and was not happy about it.

"You never stated to increase your knowledge, so it has been that way for a long time," Azree replied.

Darius was not taking that answer, he was not happy with it in any way. "So in simple terms you are calling me an idiot?"

"I never stated that but it is a clear way to put it." Azree gave him the straight answer.

"Uh! What in the world?!" Darius was about to blow a fuse but he held his mouth knowing that there was no way for him to win. "Hey, I thought you said something about Special Skills? I didn't see them there."

"Your special skills are separate, do you wish to see them?"

Darius had a smile on his face, he wanted to know what he had gained.

"Yes," Darius stood there waiting for the screen to pop up, he looked up when it did and he was shocked to see it there.

{Special Skills}

Draconic Blast: 20

King's Might: 10

Beast's Wrath: 10

Savage Strike: 10

Armor of Scales: 10.

{Available points to distribute- 150}

"Hmm, does this affect the points on my normal stats?" Darius was curious, and he wanted to know if he could do something like it.

"Your stats won't decrease, you can use the points to ensure that they are all even."

Hearing this, Darius smiled, he knew what he was going.

"Increase all the special skills with 15 points, then add 20 to the intelligence stats and then the rest to strength." Darius was looking at the screen, Azree didn't want to waste time before he did as he was ordered.

"Done!" Azree chimed, Darius had a faint smile on his face.

Darius looked at his hands, he knew that he was no longer the same person who would hide behind other warriors. He was now someone strong and from the looks of things he was going to keep getting stronger until he reached the pinnacle of strength.

'To make sure that nothing will happen to Lena ever again, I will do anything it will take for me to make sure she is happy.'
