He declared proudly, his young face full of confidence.
"Haha!" Haruto chuckled.

Konohamaru beamed at the praise, his dirty little face glowing.

Suddenly, his expression changed, his eyes narrowing.

"If all you do is sell golden eggs, why would Grandpa stay up all night worrying about your shop?!"

Konohamaru declared confidently, puffing out his small chest.
"Haha!"

He leaned in close, his nose nearly touching Haruto's.
"Tell me the secret!"
His voice dropped to a hushed whisper, as if afraid someone might overhear.
"See the golden eggs in my store?" Haruto asked, lowering his voice.
"Yeah!" Konohamaru nodded eagerly.
"These aren't just any golden eggs!"
"If you smash one, you can get all kinds of magical treasures that will make you stronger!"
"If you're lucky, you might even get something powerful enough to surpass your grandfather!"
Haruto's voice became even quieter, making it sound forbidden and secretive.
Konohamaru's eyes widened.
"Really?!"
His excitement barely contained, but he still tried to act cool.

He squinted, deep in thought.
"If this shop really makes people stronger, then I'll smash some!"
Haruto struck while the iron was hot.

Konohamaru's voice cracked.
"That's highway robbery!"

Haruto glanced at the prizes and smirked.
"Well… your luck isn't great!"
