Touka was sitting on the couch channel surfing when she smelt a scent that was familiar. Thinking to herself of what it could be she didn't notice the smell getting stronger until she heard footsteps walking passed her.
She looked over to find Alyss followed by a prancing Nivia. Touka deciding to finally ask, got up and followed the two. Stopping at the entrance to Alyss's bedroom. Touka knocked on the door to get Alyss's attention.
Alyss was getting some clean clothes and mentally planning her next steps to stop a wanna be god from resurrecting. She was suddenly pulled from her inner thoughts by Touka.
Touka took an audible sniff of the air and immediately wrinkled her nose a bit. "Why do you two reek of blood?"
Alyss looked at Touka confused and then shrugged. "Some dude stalked me, followed me, tried to bite me and died for it."
Touka looked at Alyss curiously then thought to herself. 'Could it be a ghoul?' She then looked back to Alyss.
As if sensing the question Alyss chuckled. "No they're not ghouls, honestly would've been better if they were then at least they wouldn't multiply."
Touka narrowed her eyes, she knew ghouls are extremely hard to kill and have a craving for flesh but if it's not a ghoul then what could it be?
Alyss gave a small smile clearly knowing what Touka was thinking. "Vampires, while they don't have it as bad as ghouls when it comes to diet they do however burn in sunlight or UV light."
Touka gave an incredulous look. "Vampires are stories to scare children." She said annoyed.
Alyss chuckled at the irony. "Sorry it's not you it's just tha-" Alyss couldn't hold it in and began laughing again at the situation Touka was unknowingly in. Catching her breath she was finally able to calm down and stop laughing.
Alyss took another deep breath. "Okay so ghouls are usually portrayed as more sentient decaying monsters than people who are forced to feed on humans."
Touka sat shocked at the explanation that her people were basically really fast sentient zombies with a craving for all flesh.
For a while the two girls talked about the differences between the ghouls of Touka's world and the ones in this world. Once the comparisons were done Alyss went into detail about the vampire she met since Touka was curious of her encounter with said vampire.
When she told her how the man was killed Touka was shocked and a tad bit fearful. Alyss then showed her by changing her arms and switching between bladed claws, fists with spikes and a giant blade as examples. She also explained about the fact she obtains small bits and pieces of the consumed memory.
After some time Alyss got up. "Alright that's enough talk I'm dirty and smell like blood and I want a shower and Nivia needs a bath." A small "yip" was heard as if in agreement.
Touka nodded and was about to turn around to head back to the living but she paused. "Are you going to find the rest of them?"
Alyss gestures as if it was obvious. "I mean yeah, these guys want to resurrect a wannabe blood god which is just a supercharged Dracula."
Touka wasn't surprised anymore; she just left the room to rethink her new life. It was a lot to take in she's only been in this world for a month and she's already hearing more and more outrages things.
Alyss was just confused if she could change into a sentient virus and Touka a ghoul then why couldn't vampires and gods exist. Shrugging at the whole situation Alyss took Nivia and both went to take a bath.

In a dimly lit room two men were sitting around a screen watching, one man and one teen standing at an empty construction site. The scene that played out was bloody as they watched the teen question the man the two men watching try to put together what she asked. What happened next shocked the man in a combat vest and jacket.
Tendrils of black and red came out of the teens back and she proceeded to only what could be described as consumed the man.
Blade stood stunned at the sight, no vampire should be able to do this. It is unnatural even for their kind and he's never seen anything like it.
Turning to his long time friend he looked at him with veiled concern. "What is that."
Sighing and wiping his face Whistler could honestly say he had no idea at best he could guess it's a mutated vampire or some god forsaken thrall.
Looking up to blade his brows furrowed as he crossed his arms. "I honestly have no idea what that is. I can tell you it's going to come here after all that was a runt of Deacon's coven I've been tracking."
Whistler began thinking about why he was so far out from the rest. He's recently been seeing more vampire activity in New York. Even tracked a couple more in other states spreading like an infection.
He was brought out of his musings by Blade tapping his shoulder. "If they're hunting in daylight now then something's up they're desperate or they're planning something."
Whistler grunted in agreement. "Hopefully it'll stay quiet, it's already bad enough at night."

In the Triskelion, Nick Fury sat in his office staring at the reports on his desk hoping for it to combust and burn. Most of the reports were budget and mission reports but another stack on the corner of his desk pretain to missing persons.
Usually this wouldn't be a cause of alarm but when they all go missing seemingly the same way or when they're bodies turn up with two needle like marks on them then it becomes an issue.
He was currently cursing the being who decided paperwork should exist when there was a knock on his door. Gladly taking the excuse to take a break he straightens out his desk and then tells the person to come in.
Agent Phil Coulson walked in with his ever present calm smile. Reaching out he hands a manilla folder to Nick Fury.
Taking the folder Nick Fury opens it and begins reading the report. When he got to a certain part he paused and looked away from the report and straight at Agent Coulson.
Looking back down at the folder he continues perusing it. "I'm assuming they got DNA samples."
Coulson pulled out another folder handing it to him. "Yes the results are… interesting, turns out the blood belongs to a man he was born in 1927."
Nick Fury began looking through the several DNA tests handed to him. "So where's the body at then?" He questioned while looking at the man's known photos.
Coulson smiled dimmed as his eyes flashed with concern remembering the footage they recovered from a camera across the street. "We believe he was absorbed."
Fury hearing this pinched the bridge of his nose getting a headache knowing another potential serial killer was on the loose with powers at that. Of course this wouldn't be the first situation there have been many mutants and super powered beings who've gone on killing sprees and all of them were dealt with before getting out of hand.
Shaking his head to get out of his thoughts he focused back on the conversation at hand. "Absorbed." He stated.
Coulson nodded, then taking his company issue phone he sent the camera footage to Fury. Taking a couple of minutes to watch then rewatch the video Fury came to a conclusion. That man was hunting and although in bad quality the fangs were clear he knew what that man was he's seen they're kind before. And now he has a problem it's easy to put two and two together the missing people and vampires, they're hunting the population and he didn't like it.
