Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Person She Fears Most…

From around seven in the evening to six in the morning.

Nearly eleven hours, Chloe Grant was "bruised all over," with traces of two people throughout the room.

Chloe Grant felt sore and weak all over, clutching the blanket as she silently wiped her tears~

It's all her fault! The internet said just half a pill was enough, but her shaky hand ended up dropping three!

Great, isn't it now?

Are your legs trembling?

Does it hurt all swollen?

As Chloe Grant was holding her face and crying, she felt the man's hand on her waist starting to get restless again, scaring her into rolling over and falling straight to the ground.

She wanted to curse, but then she heard noises coming from downstairs, startling her.

This house was only occupied by Lucas Morgan, who else would be here?

Chloe Grant thought she was hallucinating, but listening again, there seemed to be other sounds?

She panicked.

If Lucas Morgan's parents came and saw this scene...

They would lose it, right?

Chloe Grant shook her head, and before the man in bed could pull her back in, she hurriedly wrapped the blanket around herself tightly and crawled towards the window in the dark. She fell several times since she couldn't see, but she didn't care.

Pulling open the curtains, the light suddenly pierced in, and Chloe Grant didn't even think to glance back; she just opened the window and jumped out impulsively.

Thud!

Below Lucas Morgan's room was a huge swimming pool, and as Chloe Grant jumped, it caused a huge splash.

Chloe Grant struggled in the water for a while before climbing up to the edge.

The thin blanket clinging wetly to her body fell off due to her movements, revealing the dense love bites and bruises on her fair skin.

It was clear how wild and intense last night had been.

Dragging her wet body, Chloe Grant's legs trembled uncontrollably. Every step she took felt painfully intense, but she had to keep moving.

The direction was towards another villa behind the mansion.

This place was the famous "Imperial Palace Villa" in the capital, with only three villas in the entire area. All these villas belonged to the Morgan family.

The reason Chloe Grant lived here was because her father was the godson of Lucas Morgan's mother.

Since her parents were doing business abroad for long periods, and Chloe Grant wasn't accustomed to living overseas, the Morgan family arranged for her to stay at the Imperial Palace Villa, becoming neighbors with Lucas Morgan and the eldest son of the Morgan family, Matthew Morgan.

Matthew Morgan...

At the thought of this name, a cold yet stunning face automatically came to Chloe Grant's mind.

Matthew Morgan, the eldest son of the Morgan family, a legendary figure, and also the person Chloe Grant feared the most.

He was a cold and reticent person with a powerful aura and many quirks.

Chloe Grant especially remembered that four years ago, when Mr. Morgan suffered a heart attack and the Morgan Group was in a state of crisis, he silently took over the company, dealt with those older members just relying on their seniority, and reformed the whole Morgan Group, taking it to a new height.

At that time, he was like King Yama on earth, defeating gods and slaying Buddhas as he went.

Seeing him once gave Chloe Grant nightmares for three days and nights.

Fortunately, the next year, for some unknown reason, he chose to go abroad, remotely controlling the Morgan Group, and refused to return no matter what.

Chloe Grant was especially afraid of him.

Even recalling him made Chloe Grant break out in a cold sweat, feeling incredibly guilty.

She shook her head, forcing herself to go take a bath and not think about him.

...

After her bath, as soon as Chloe Grant touched the bed, she fell asleep before she could even think of anything.

She slept until it was past seven in the evening.

She could have continued sleeping, but the phone on the cabinet kept ringing continuously, annoying Chloe Grant to the point where she got out of bed in a fit, picked up the phone, and yelled, "What's up?"

"Put on your clothes and come to the door, quickly!"

The other person said only this before hanging up the phone.
