Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: He Wears Black, Incredibly Handsome

After five or six seconds, Matthew Morgan responded with an "Mm" from his throat.

Though extremely perfunctory, it still surprised the assistant beside him.

He held the documents, his face full of disbelief.

Matthew Morgan turned around, stuffed the documents into the assistant's arms, and instructed him, "You head to Cloud City now and stick to the agreement as discussed, with no changes."

"Yes, I'll go right away." The assistant, although surprised, immediately accepted the documents and then left.

"Ma'am, the young master and Miss Chloe's things have been packed." At this time, Julia also came downstairs, pushing two 20-inch suitcases.

After reporting to Isabella Gray, Julia pushed the luggage out and placed it in the arranged car.

Chloe Grant was still eating.

She was always in a distracted state, so she didn't pay attention to the situation between Isabella Gray and Matthew Morgan.

"Chloe dear." Mr. Morgan reminded Chloe Grant several times from the side, and only then did Chloe Grant react, "Huh? What? Oh, I'm full."

"If you're full, let's set off." Isabella Gray came over, picked up a napkin, gently wiped Chloe Grant's mouth, and then pulled her up, leading her outside.

As they walked, she gave some instructions.

Mainly about eating well, having fun, and staying safe.

Chloe Grant habitually turned back and, seeing Matthew Morgan, tilted her head with a look of surprise in her eyes.

The thought flashing through her mind was one of surprise and curiosity, but the next thought was: He looks damn good in black.

Black is a steady yet very common color.

But Matthew Morgan managed to wear such a common color with uniqueness, making people think at a glance: Wow, black can have such a quality.

Isabella Gray had already dragged Chloe Grant to the door, and the driver opened the car door, directly stuffing Chloe Grant into the car.

"Chloe, have fun for two days," Isabella Gray instructed.

Matthew Morgan walked over and sat in the back seat.

As he got in, Chloe Grant immediately jumped up, pressing her whole body against the car door.

What the heck?

Could it be that Grandma's intention was to have her go out with this nerve-wracking guy?

She wanted to get out of the car...!

But the car had already started.

Looking back, she saw Isabella Gray standing behind, waving her hand.

Grandma Gray, I'm already so sad, why are you sending me into the fire pit~~~

Chloe Grant covered her face, curling her small body into a corner.

The car had a lot of space, and Chloe Grant felt around beside her to find a cold can of Coke.

It was in a can. She wanted a drink because she was nervous.

But, not sure if it was due to nervousness or what, she couldn't open the Coke at all, and the sound of it popping echoed especially clearly in the car.

Chloe Grant's forehead grew larger, stealing several glances at Matthew Morgan who was handling business on a tablet beside her.

His brows were already slightly furrowed with displeasure.

Forget it.

Chloe Grant felt annoyed inside, and just as she was about to give up, the Coke was snatched from her hand.

She was surprised.

Matthew Morgan had swiftly opened the lid and inserted a straw, then handed it back to Chloe Grant.

Chloe Grant was dumbfounded for several seconds before reacting, hurriedly grabbing the Coke and muttering, "Thank, thank you, Uncle Morgan."

"Mm." Matthew Morgan didn't even look at her, focused on handling his business.

...

From the east suburbs to the west suburbs, it's quite a long distance, and the journey takes about three hours.

During these three hours, the most interaction Chloe Grant had with Matthew Morgan was: Chloe Grant couldn't open the Coke, Matthew Morgan did it.

Chloe Grant couldn't open the sandwich bag, Matthew Morgan did it.

When Chloe Grant saw she was losing in a game, Matthew Morgan helped her win.

And most of the time, Matthew Morgan was...
