Understanding Ranks
To fully grasp what ranks are, you first need to understand what a monster is.
Normal Monsters
A monster is a being that evolves and grows stronger the longer it lives. With each rank-up, its mana increases significantly, triggering evolution. Normal monsters progress through three primary ranks:
King — A monster that has lived for more than ten years. However, some exceptional cases allow monsters to reach this rank in a shorter time.
High King — To attain this rank, a monster must kill at least two King-ranked or higher-ranked monsters.
Tyrant — The final rank for normal monsters, marking the point where a monster transforms into a humanoid. Achieving this rank requires embodying the essence of a true tyrant—selfishness, the relentless pursuit of one's goals while disregarding everything else, including personal well-being. This mindset triggers a surge in mana, shattering the body and reshaping it into the vessel most suited for mana—a human.
These are only the ranks for normal monsters. There exist beings beyond them—those who shall not yet be named—who can evolve even further.

The Process of Evolution
Not all rank advancements result in outward physical changes. However, three major ranks mark significant transformations:
King — The start of evolution. Strengthens the body to prepare it for future evolutions and increased mana capacity.
Tyrant — An overload of mana forcibly reshapes the body.
