Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: CatSoul Aroma

Argh!

This is a new headache for him since he doesn't have knowledge of this region but he has enough idea that the topmost monster which lying above the food-chain will come out of its nest in search of prey since this is the perfect moment so he doesn't want to bet if his knowledge is true or not!

Hiding in the lush tree, he now had the view of all nearby regions.

'What should I do?'

This basic question arose in his mind since he passed the abyssal trial.

No network? Emergency location was already sent out!

'Sigh!'

This upcoming night is bothering him.

Howl!

Calmly resting on the branch, he peeked but getting no sight let him know that wolves were hunting somewhere.

His mind soon drifted toward the cause which was the reason of his transmigration.

A Dog!

How pathetic it may appear, but he knows in his heart that by far that wasn't a dog.

…..

He was having his chilling late-night party and to impress his crush, he kicked the football, and he only have the memories that the football was passing by him.

Somehow his kick irked the dog and started its marathon toward him. He still didn't understand that why he was getting the ominous feeling from the dog so he also judged himself and rode a bicycle to run as far as he can.

He was also successful but the road between the village was uneven showing the utmost condition of bribery but the most issue was the curve and sharp 90 degree cut road which almost made him lost speed by half margin and distance between him and dog was narrowing down.

Almost passing every sharp cut, he would look back to ensure but everytime he was filled with dread because he was getting the feeling that this isn't a dog.

'Yeah. That wasn't a dog!'

As if its eye was glowing red and the shadow behind it stretching to engulf with every passing.

Now he get the gist that his death isn't too far if he continued to race with the dog so he used ultimate tactics; Getting at the sharp turn, he unmounted the cycle and entering in the house, he locked the door and ran toward the stairs.

He had no idea that from where he was getting the feeling but his conscious screaming at him to run.

Run!

Or you will die!

Every hairs of his body was stood up as he was getting the real gist of death as if saying I don't chase, I wait. For time when your soul bends knees to my will.

Horror!

Horror was filled inside him, but he was running, running for his life but fate was also itself saying; The howling winds during Rahu Kaal echo my warning- kneel before destiny, or erased by my fury.

But how can he leave his fate to destiny.

No! Never!

His life was bestowed by his parents and he still has responbility to fulfill it so no-one can claim it, not even I allow myself.

So, How!

How can I allow myself to bent against fate?

"I will run! Run against fate! Run against Destiny!"

He screaming at himself to not bent against fate.

But can a mere mortal stand against the fate?

No! Never!

His eyes suddenly widened because before him now stood the same dog with its red eye ferociously growling at him.

Thump!

HIs heart quivered as if about to come at any moment and the dog ferociously mauled at him.

Unconsciously his hand crossed out in an X shape to reduce fatality, but he suddenly appeared in different realm displaying three blank slot and a blank slot between the three but bonded together as if merging 3 would give the result in mid blank slot and with this thought his unconscious drifted in the deep darkness.

...

'Sigh'

Sam sighed because he himself still doesn't know the logic, but he had already gotten the gist of merge since that was recorded as special ability.

The main issue of him that how could the creature of this world exhibit in his previous world?

'Ugh!'

What am I supposed to do?

Wait for the emergency team to depart and wait for them to rescue me?

"No! I can't wait in hope of other. I've had to do something."

His hand preens over the wristband and the geographical map popped out before him.

His current location is about 80 km far away from any human region.

'Which wretch idea was this to trap me?' Sam's teeth clittered in annoyance.

'Calm down! Don't overthink!" Rubbing his neck, Sam managed to calm down and stare blankly at the sky through the gap of leaves while the howling and animal grunting sound reverberated in the surrounding.

With passing time, his eyelids become heavy and soon covered the view.

...

Plateau Gulf

The gentle breeze blew past, intoxicating people with its fresh air.

Five burly men rubbing their fists and wiping their pals, preparing for something. In their hands were well-polished, sharp weapons, which under the faint moonlight were reflecting the gentle dazzling rays of light.

"All ready?"

A middle-aged man with a solemn expression walked toward them.

"Don't worry Boss," the burly man said while smiling playfully.

"Be serious."

The boss stared at them ferociously.

"Our target this time is the mutated leopard, and they are nocturnal by nature. Its strength is extremely scary which we can't afford, and your weapon may not even pierce its outer skin. You need to rely on your runic abilities to kill it."

"Is that thing really so strong?"

The few burly men's expression grew serious.

"Otherwise, why would I even need you?"

The boss stated cruelly, "To be honest, I already came here with a team previously but they died due to their arrogant nature so I will only say that if you treasure your life then be serious!"

"Understood!"

The few burly men looked each other with unprecedentedly serious expressions.

"Good!"

The boss relaxed.

"Remember to be cautious. If we really can't deal with it, leave it asap!"

'Hopefully....'

'Everything will go smoothly this time.'

The boss lightly spread a few drops of 'CatSoul' Aroma.

"This thing is irresistible to mutated cat species. It should be here shortly. Prepare for that."

"Understood!"
