Chapter 131: My Name is Shi Aimin
Wolverine was born in 1832. During the two years Captain America was active, he was also serving as an American soldier in World War II.
So, naturally, he knew about Captain America, but he wasn't as idolizing as ordinary people, which is why he didn't recognize him at first glance.
When Captain America sacrificed himself, Wolverine happened to be captured by the Japanese and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp in Nagasaki.
"That's right, he's Captain America, Steve Rogers."
George explained with a smile:
"I've been thinking that our school might need a few more teachers, but ordinary people probably wouldn't be suitable to teach our students.
Plus, we need to be careful about the character of new teachers. We can't let them corrupt the kids.
So, I thought of him."
He pointed at Captain America, whose ice had almost completely melted.
"I figured that when Captain America disappeared after crashing into the Arctic Ocean, his body, enhanced by the super-soldier serum, might not have died. So, I used my tracking ability to try and find him.
And I actually succeeded.
His character is unquestionable, and besides being skilled in various combat techniques, he's also a top-tier tactical commander. He can teach our students how to better coordinate in combat."
"So, you want him to be a teacher at our school? But he might not agree."
Wolverine wasn't optimistic about George's idea.
He thought Captain America was a government-made weapon, a loyal soldier who would immediately return to serve the government upon waking up. Why would he stay at the school as a teacher?
George smiled at this:
"That's not necessarily true. Besides, don't we have the Professor?"
He turned to look at Professor X.
When it came to persuasion, Professor X was definitely one of the best in the world.
Moreover, Captain America wasn't as blindly loyal to the government as Wolverine thought.
Captain America wasn't a mindless government loyalist. If he were, he wouldn't have refused to sign the Sokovia Accords.
He had his own unique ideals and was unwavering in them.
He joined the military mainly to protect the weak and end wars. Now, the world is at peace.
If it weren't for S.H.I.E.L.D. being founded by his lover, Peggy Carter, and his friend, Howard Stark, and Nick Fury's constant moral manipulation, Captain America might not have continued working for S.H.I.E.L.D.
Having been frozen for over sixty years, with almost all his friends and family gone, and the world drastically changed, this would be a massive shock for Captain America.
So, with the right approach, convincing him to stay at the school as a teacher and teach these poor mutant children how to survive shouldn't be too difficult.
"I can only say I'll try. Honestly, I admired him a lot when I was a kid!"
Professor X nodded. He was quite supportive of the idea of having Captain America as a teacher at the school.
"If you guys are fine with it, I'm fine too. I could use a drinking buddy. I heard he can drink a thousand cups without getting drunk."
Wolverine shrugged, also expressing his approval.
Although Professor X had obtained a clone body, he had quit smoking and drinking. George, on the other hand, didn't drink at all and spent all his time in the combat simulation room. So, Wolverine really needed a drinking buddy.
"Since none of you object, I'll wake him up now."
Seeing that the ice on Captain America had completely melted and his body functions were rapidly recovering, George waved his hand and cast the Reviving Spell.
"Enervate!"
The Reviving Spell was a charm used to forcibly wake someone up, often used to counteract the effects of a Stunning Spell.
Under the influence of the Reviving Spell, Captain America immediately opened his eyes.
"Where... am I?"
Captain America looked at the ceiling above him, muttering unconsciously.
His last memory was of the plane crashing, and then he was frozen in the glacier.
"Hello, Captain Steve!"
A friendly voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
Instinctively, he rolled off the bed, grabbed his shield, and assumed a defensive stance. Looking at the three strangers in the room, he asked warily:
"Who are you? Where is this? Why am I here?"
"This is a school, and we are the headmaster and teachers here.
As for why you're here, that's a long story. No need to be nervous. Sit down, and we'll talk."
George tried to reassure Captain America.
However, Captain America was clearly on edge. He glanced at the advanced equipment in the room and didn't believe George's words. Instead, he bolted for the door.
How could a school's basement have such advanced equipment? He thought this might be a secret Hydra base.
"Hey, buddy, I think you should calm down."
Wolverine immediately blocked Captain America's path, but Captain America didn't hold back, throwing a punch at him.
Wolverine, having taken the punch to the face, retaliated with a kick that sent Captain America flying back.
"Even though you're over ninety years old, I'm a hundred years older than you. You're no match for me!"
Seeing Captain America raise his shield, Wolverine unsheathed his Adamantium claws, ready to show Captain America what he was made of.
"Expelliarmus!"
At this moment, George intervened.
He first disarmed Captain America with the Disarming Charm, then bound him with a Rope-Binding Spell.
"Incarcerous!"
"You're definitely Hydra!"
Captain America, now tied up, glared at George and the others.
In his view, only Hydra would have such modified individuals and people with special abilities.
"Fine, I'll take you out to see for yourself."
After signaling to Professor X and Wolverine, George picked up Captain America and flew him to the center of New York City.
"Captain, look down. This is New York in 2010. You've been frozen for sixty-five years."
"This is New York?"
Captain America looked down at the city that was both familiar and vastly different from what he remembered. The towering skyscrapers, the neon lights, and the modern cars on the roads left him in a daze.
As someone born in Brooklyn, New York, he knew the city all too well.
After flying around New York, he was certain this was indeed New York—just not the New York of 1945.
When they returned to the school, Captain America was completely lost in thought.
"Professor, he's all yours."
After removing the restraints on Captain America and handing him over to Professor X for guidance, George went back to practicing his magic.
The next day, after a night of persuasion from Professor X, Captain America finally agreed to stay at the school as a teacher.
At nine o'clock, as agreed, Black Widow arrived to issue identity documents for the school's children. However, when she saw Captain America in casual clothes, her expression immediately changed.
"George, why does he look like..."
"Like Captain America, Steve Rogers? He just looks similar. He's our school's new teacher, Shi Aimin!"
George introduced him without batting an eye.
