Chapter 170 - Chapter 171: The Magic That Restrains the Hulk

Chapter 171: The Magic That Restrains the Hulk

George did not stop the Abomination from appearing, of course, because he wanted the Hulk to show up again, allowing Banner to completely give up on his illusions. At the same time, he could conveniently recruit a strong security guard for the school.

Although the Abomination did not have the Hulk's ability to grow stronger the angrier he became, his overall strength was still not weak.

The key advantage the Abomination had over the Hulk was that he could later switch between his monstrous form and Blonsky at will through control, without experiencing two different personalities or behavior patterns.

However, George was not completely idle. When Sterns was sent flying by the Abomination, he was especially careful to ensure that no replicated Hulk blood dripped onto Dr. Sterns' head, preventing the birth of the Leader.

At the same time, after the Abomination jumped down from the laboratory building, he entered the lab and cast a Forgetfulness Charm on the unconscious Sterns.

"Obliviate!"

The charm took effect, erasing all of Sterns' memories related to Banner and the green gene.

After doing all this, he carried Sterns and the unconscious soldiers from the lab outside and tossed them onto the street. Then, he waved his hand toward the lab and chanted:

"Fiendfyre!"

Blue flames erupted from his hand, engulfing the entire laboratory in fire.

He didn't want the Hulk's blood to fall into the hands of the military and create future troubles, so he simply burned everything to ashes.

The Abomination was rampaging through the streets, and all military attention was focused on him. Even though the laboratory was on fire, there were no extra troops available to put it out.

Not that they could extinguish it anyway—George had used Fiendfyre, and ordinary water would be useless against it.

Under his control, within a few minutes, the entire laboratory was reduced to a pile of ashes. Even the stones and steel inside, which normally wouldn't burn, were completely incinerated.

After finishing, he withdrew the flames and flew toward the distant street.

A Green and Yellow Battle

On the street, a fierce battle was taking place between two giants—one green and one yellow.

While George had been eliminating future troubles, Banner had jumped from a plane to stop the Abomination's destruction, transforming into the Hulk once again.

"It's about time to wrap this up."

Seeing the Hulk sitting atop the Abomination, punching him repeatedly, only to be kicked away, George flapped his wings and flew to the center of the battle. Enhancing his voice with a spell, he shouted:

"You two, stop fighting here! If this continues, the entire street will be gone!"

The sudden booming voice made both the Abomination and the Hulk freeze for a moment.

Not only them—even General Ross in the helicopter and the surrounding soldiers who were still alive were stunned.

"Who is he?"

"He's George, the headmaster of the Superhuman Academy!"

At that moment, Betty, who was in the helicopter, recognized George. She had just met him that afternoon.

She still vividly remembered his ability to turn water into coffee and disappear in an instant.

"Superhuman Academy? Why have I never heard of it?"

General Ross frowned, but now was not the time to worry about that. What was important was determining whether this winged guy was a friend or foe.

"Is he here to help?"

"Probably…?" Betty replied uncertainly.

They continued watching the battlefield below.

Subduing the Abomination

"Where did this birdman come from? Mind your own business!"

The Abomination roared in anger and leaped up, swinging a massive hand toward George in the air.

At this moment, anyone who dared to stop him—no matter who they were—had to die.

"Such a bad temper."

Facing the giant palm that could flatten a car, George smiled and pointed his finger:

"Levicorpus!"

A red magical beam shot out and struck the Abomination. His body immediately flipped upside down and was suspended in mid-air.

"What is this?!"

The Abomination reached out to grab whatever was pulling his feet up, but he found nothing there. No matter how much he struggled, he couldn't exert any force in the air, rendering his immense strength useless.

For a brief moment, he was completely bewildered.

But after about five or six seconds, he suddenly fell from the air.

"You should go on a diet."

George was not surprised by this outcome.

His alloy bracelet did not enhance the power of his magic, so using Levicorpus on a creature as large as the Abomination was quite difficult.

Of course, beings like the Abomination might also have a certain level of magic resistance.

However, this was not a problem for George.

After landing, the Abomination became even more enraged at being toyed with. Roaring in fury, he grabbed a car that had been torn in half and hurled it at George.

George waved both hands, activating his telekinesis. The two halves of the car split apart and veered off to the sides, completely missing him.

Retracting his wings and landing on the ground, he saw the Abomination charging toward him. Once again, he raised a finger:

"Locomotor Mortis!"

The Leg-Locker Curse took effect. The Abomination, mid-sprint, suddenly found his legs locked together and fell face-first, skidding across the ground until he stopped at George's feet.

Before he could use brute force to break free, George immediately cast a series of Stunning Spells at his head.

"Stupefy! Stupefy!"

Compared to the over one hundred Stunning Spells he had used against Gajeel before, only thirty were enough to put the Abomination into deep sleep.

For a wizard, dealing with a brute like the Abomination was almost too easy.

He couldn't fly. He had no special attacks. He relied entirely on brute force for close combat. His large body only made him an easier target.

At most, he was just a stronger version of the trolls from the Harry Potter world.

Dealing with the Hulk

The Hulk was not a mindless monster—he simply liked getting angry. His nature wasn't evil; as long as he wasn't provoked, he wouldn't randomly kill people.

After seeing George subdue the Abomination, he did not linger. He glanced at Betty in the helicopter and prepared to jump away.

"Wait, let me borrow a few hairs."

Spreading his wings and accelerating, George swiftly reached the top of the Hulk's head. Controlling a blade, he quickly cut off a handful of his hair and stored it in his dimensional space.

This action, however, angered the Hulk. He turned around and swung a massive fist at George.

George swiftly dodged the attack.

"You can transform back now."

With a slight smile, he pointed at the Hulk:

"Rictusempra!"

Hit by the Tickling Charm, the Hulk's furious expression vanished, replaced by uncontrollable laughter.

As he laughed, his body rapidly shrank, transforming back into Bruce Banner.

The Hulk had a trait where the angrier he got, the stronger he became. But his weakness was just as obvious—once his anger faded, he reverted to Banner.

Thus, George's Tickling Charm was the perfect counter.

At the same time, the Hulk had no resistance to soul-based or mind-affecting magic. In the movies, Wanda Maximoff had easily controlled him.

If George used the Imperius Curse, he could control the Hulk as well. Mental abilities would also be effective.

"Reparo!"

Using the Repair Charm, he restored Banner's tattered clothes.

Then, George asked once more:

"So, are you interested in joining our Superhuman Academy now?"

"I'm in!"

Banner stood up, looked at his restored clothes, and firmly nodded.
