With those words, the being slashed its sword forward. The short being was cut cleanly into two.
"Thank you, soul reaper," the being said as he continued walking away. As he did, a fox mask could be seen dangling beside him.
****Earth Realm
The city was calm and tranquil. People were moving about their lives. Some were going to work. Kids were at school. The birds in the air sang their songs into the people's ears. The trees waved to the motions of the wind.
Down at Orion College, the players were on the field and were getting ready for practice.
Coach Collins came over, his eyes scanning through the crowd. His expression was a grim one. He then turned to look at Ryu, who shook his head in response.
"Okay, People, you know that the competition is around the corner. I would need you to perform your best."
He kept his words short and then he handed over to his assistant. Coach Collins motioned for Ryu to come over.
