Was he ready to see the media carry more stories and images of Vynessa, and shops display her pictures and art?
Remy wondered if that's why Gray Kaidën had released this one painting, after all these years. Was it a sign that he was finally ready to move on, to let the world celebrate Vynessa's life and legacy once again?
"I think you should buy it," Axel's voice snapped her out of her thoughts. Avery agreed, "Yes, Remy, I think you should actually buy it."
Remy thought for a moment before making up her mind. "I'm buying that," she said, picking up the painting and proceeding to pay for it.
It seemed like Gray Kaidën finally wanted to forget Vynessa. This artwork stood out from the rest, and it might be an old piece he'd held onto.
This particular painting was rare and hadn't been seen before. It could be a prized possession, and regardless of his reasons for displaying it, he didn't deserve to lose it.
Remy decided to return the painting to him, considering it the perfect gift.
She thought it was going to be very expensive, but it turned out that the price was affordable. It wasn't cheap, but it wasn't as expensive as she had thought it would be.
She paid for it, together with the other things she had bought, and headed home. When they stepped out, Avery helped her into the car. Axel took the keys, but Remy decided she wanted to drive this time.
It had been years since she last drove the car, since her accident, and she wanted to get behind the wheel again.
Axel disagreed at first, but then he relented, keeping a close eye on her as she drove. He monitored her and avoid any accidents on the way. With Axel by her side, Remi felt a sense of reassurance and drove carefully, finally feeling like herself again. They made their way back home, the painting safely stowed in the back seat.

Sophia wasted no time ranting to her mother, about her encounter with Remy at the store. "I was at the Elegance Store, and I saw Remy. She was being so arrogant, and the manager was treating her like royalty. And then, I found out that she's the owner of the store!" Sophia exclaimed.
Helena was surprised. "How did she manage to own Elegance Wishes?!"
Grant thought for a moment. "Maybe Deth, he bought the store under her name."
"But what exactly is there relationship?? We can't let them be close, it'd ruin many things!"
Grant's expression turned serious. He had thought about killing Remy when she was locked up, but he knew it wasn't safe.
She might have told someone she was coming home, and if anything happened to her, he would be the first suspect.
Many people knew their relationship was strained, and Alexandra was already calling him, asking about Remy's whereabouts.
Grant couldn't risk harming Remy at that point. He needed a better plan to end her life before she started remembering things she shouldn't.
And it seemed like that might happen soon - maybe Remy had already started having triggers of her memories.
Memories he had worked so hard to complete erase, Grant's eyes narrowed, he needs to act fast but precise.
"Moooom, I'm so pissed!" Sophia stomped her feet on the floor. "How come Remy still holds her head up high? Why can't she just disappear?!"
"Sophia, keep it down," Grant said, trying to think. "We need to get Remy under control, somehow. Anything to get her alone and make sure we're not suspected."
Helena was about to say something when Sophia's phone rang, interrupting her. Sophia furiously picked up the call without checking the caller ID, ready to yell at whoever was on the other end.
But instead, she heard a light, friendly voice. "Sophia, how about you and Julian come home tonight for a family dinner? What do you say?"
Sophia immediately recognized the voice as Julian's mother, Vivian Smith. Her expression changed, and she smiled. "Of course, Mom! We'll be right there."
She looked at her watch, it was already late. "I'll call Julian, he should be done with work by now. We'll be there within the hour."
Vivian said, "Okay, take your time," and ended the call. Sophia stood up, "Mom, Dad, I'm sorry, but I have to leave." She pecked their cheeks and bid them goodbye.
As soon as Sophia left, Helena turned to her husband, frustration etched on her face. "How the hell did Remy even get in touch with the son of the Kaidën family?"
Grant shrugged. "I honestly don't know."
Helena's expression turned worried. "We can't have this continue. We just can't."
Helena's voice was filled with dread. "He already knows it's us, right?"
Grant's expression was grim. "Yes, and that's exactly why I need to get Remy out of there. She can't recall anything that might help him get to us. If she stays there, she might inadvertently give him something to use against us."
"Let's first find out how Remy met Grey's son and what relationship they have. Why he is so interested in her knowing she's your child. There must be a reason, and it's not good."
Grant pulled out his phone and dialed a number. The person on the other end picked up after the first ring, and a deep male voice spoke.
"Grant, it's been a while. Did you miss me?"
Grant scoffed.
"When you were so eager to dismiss me the last time, I told you you'd miss me, didn't I?" The person said.
"Shut the fuck up Fierce!"
The person on the other end, Fierce, turned serious. "What do you want, Grant?"
"I want you to help me find out something," Grant replied. "It's going to be tough, since we're dealing with the Kaidën family again."
"Why?" Fierce asked, his tone skeptical. "Why are you having issues with them again?"
Grant was annoyed. "You know If you had been one to just do your job without asking silly questions, you might not have been on the run for so long now."
An icy chuckle echoed from the other end of the phone. "I'm not on the run, Grant. I bought a villa outside the country. Do you want to see it?"
"This isn't time for jokes, Fierce."
"You're the joke here. After everything that happened, you have the nerve to call me now, asking me to get my shit involved with the Kaidën family again?"
"Fierce, you—"
"Details?"
Grant smirked with his last response, took a deep breath and explained the details of the job he needed Fierce to do for him.
