"Holy Bubble!"
Moss unleashed a new technique.
The peace summit hall was instantly bathed in radiant rainbow light.
Everyone felt like they had stepped into a dream—warm, serene, incredibly comforting.
That was the healing effect of Holy Bubble taking hold.
At the source of the rainbow light, right above Moss's head, floated a massive golden ring—like a halo from mythological angels, only ten times larger.
This halo didn't just radiate healing light—it absorbed and focused energy as well.
Beneath its glow, Moss looked more divine than ever.
"Lend me your DigiSoul."
Moss reached her hand toward the camera.
And across the world, those whose DigiSouls had awakened reached out toward their screens as well.
Take it.
Take it all.
My DigiSoul—go to Angewomon, become her strength!
DigiSoul flowed into the screen, transmitted via satellites, undersea cables, and all manner of networks—converging on the summit hall.
At the same time, a red blur streaked across the Pacific sky.
It was Sleipmon!
"Hang in there, Angewomon!"
Once Kudamon learned that Belphemon had appeared, he instantly evolved into Sleipmon and raced toward New York at top speed.
Ten minutes! That's all he needed—ten minutes!
Could Angewomon hold out that long?
Sleipmon grew more anxious with every second. Angewomon lasting ten minutes against Belphemon? Impossible!
Damn it—why did it have to be Belphemon of all Demon Lords?!
…
"Based on New York's population… even if only one in a hundred awakened their DigiSoul, that would still be thousands, maybe tens of thousands. That should be enough to hold out until Sleipmon arrives," Moss calculated.
Because of distance constraints, she only expected to gather DigiSoul from within New York.
Whoosh!A wind began to blow.
Strange—there shouldn't be any wind in the conference hall.
What was it?
It was the wind of DigiSoul.
Cameras scattered throughout the room began streaming DigiSoul like faucets, pouring colorful energy into the halo above Holy Bubble—red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple…
So much!
Moss thought, This feels like more than just New York... could it be the entire world?
How many people live on Earth?Even if only one in a hundred awakened their DigiSoul, there would still be tens of millions. Subtract those who are sleeping or not watching, and conservatively, it could still be ten million.
Ten million streams of DigiSoul!Even if each one only matched a Champion-level average, quantity transforms into quality. Especially since all of it was offered with united will—for Moss.
Their thoughts aligned. The DigiSoul merged, transcended, and transformed—just like in Our War Game, when WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon evolved into Omegamon with the willpower of children around the world…
Now, the colorful DigiSoul entered the halo and transcended—turning into radiant gold.
That was light!
That was hope!
Moss was deeply moved, and also relieved. Thank goodness the DigiSoul merged on its own—there's no way Holy Bubble could've handled this much energy otherwise.
Meanwhile, deep within the Digital World—
"Impossible! Humans can release such immense power?!"
Yggdrasil was stunned.
This power surpassed even Its own!
Caution. Extreme caution!"Create a contingency file for Humanity."
The fact that this Angewomon could harness such power so easily—she too warranted caution.
"Create a contingency file for Angewomon."
Looking at those two newly created files, Yggdrasil felt both impressed with Its foresight and slightly afraid. If someone like Me went rogue… what then?
"…Create a contingency file for Yggdrasil."
Even It needed a plan… against itself.
…
"Shining DigiSoul…"
If she could, Moss would've loved to experience what it felt like to become a "Shining Tiga."
But her instincts warned her—that was impossible.
First, her body likely couldn't withstand such overwhelming power. She'd burst from within.
Second, this radiant DigiSoul was filled with global expectation toward "Angewomon infused with Venusmon's soul." Even if her body endured it, her consciousness might not. She'd be consumed and reshaped by that expectation, becoming exactly what people imagined her to be.
"I've received everyone's DigiSoul."
Moss smiled softly—radiant and breathtaking. In a gentle voice, she said to the camera, "Let's go. Together, we'll sweep away the enemy that blocks our path to a bright future."
She stepped out of the hall and climbed to the rooftop.
Belphemon was only a kilometer away.
He noticed her instantly. After all, Moss now glowed like a blazing beacon. Anyone with eyes couldn't miss her.
"Angewomon? Her appearance changed… Did she evolve?"
Within Belphemon, Kurata sat at the controls—sneering with disdain.
So what if she evolved? What could that frail body possibly do?
Die!
Kurata piloted Belphemon, making it thrust its hands forward. From its claws erupted black flames—like a colossal jet of darkness—heading straight for Moss's location.
If it hit, the entire building and everything behind it would be reduced to rubble in seconds.
This move was called "Solar Bloom."A flower from the sun blooming on Earth—spelling pure destruction.
Kurata had originally wanted to capture Angewomon for further study. But now, fused with Belphemon: Rage Mode, his mind was clouded by fury.
Destroy! Destroy! DESTROY!
Annihilate!
"…"
Facing that terrifying power, Moss raised her bow.
A single arrow forged from shining DigiSoul would be massive—too large for her hands alone to wield.
Then…
A memory flashed—of a tiny hero.
Xuanyuan Arrow, full draw! Her right leg stood firm. Her left leg raised high.
The engraved wings on her left greave glowed white, transforming into physical wings that extended outward, forming a massive bow.
Moss pulled back the string with both hands. The shining DigiSoul formed a colossal arrow of golden light between the bow and string, its tip pointed squarely at Belphemon.
"Shining Arrow!"
She released.
The arrow shot out like a golden meteor streaking through night, traversed the kilometer in an instant, pierced through the dark flames, and stabbed into Belphemon's chest.
BOOM!
The arrow's energy exploded, surging like electricity through Belphemon's body—shattering its muscles, bones, organs…
In the next instant, the colossal Demon Lord of Sloth collapsed.
Only a single Digiegg remained.
And Kurata.
"No… Impossible…" Kurata was dumbfounded.
One move. One arrow!
To revive Belphemon, he had developed Gizmon, pioneered Biomeric Digimon technology, invaded the Digital World repeatedly, hunted countless Digimon, harvested endless life energy…
Five years? Ten?
All his efforts—gone in an instant.
"It's not over yet!"
Kurata pulled out his last space-time shock bomb. He would return to the Digital World. Even if it took him ten or twenty years, he would rise again.
Whoosh!
But just then—another arrow flew in.
This time it was white—an ordinary Holy Arrow fired by Moss herself.
"Ah?"
Kurata suddenly felt his right arm go numb. He looked—and saw it was gone.
The pain hit like a tidal wave.
"AHHHHH!!"
"Tch, missed again." Moss muttered.
Compared to the building-sized Belphemon, Kurata's body was tiny.
But no matter. She'd just get closer for the next shot.
Floating nearby with eight wings spread wide, Moss had returned to her usual Angewomon form, the transformation undone.
Kurata was drenched in sweat, gritting his teeth through the pain. "Wait! You know what a space-time shock bomb is, right? I've planted many of them! If I don't deactivate them regularly, they'll shatter the space-time barriers! The Human and Digital Worlds will collide!"
"Oh? You still have that much cunning?" Moss raised a brow in surprise, then nodded in understanding.
No wonder you escaped Spencer Damon… So that's how.
Kurata thought he had a chance—just like when he bluffed Spencer before. He tried again. "Angewomon, you don't want the world to end, do you?"
"Heaven's Purple Light!"
A violet beam, as thin as a finger, shot through Kurata's forehead like an arrow.
"You… you…"
Kurata stared at Moss as he died.
Unbelievable.This Angewomon was so… decisive.
Wasn't she supposed to be good?
Shouldn't kindness mean she could be manipulated, deceived, morally blackmailed?
Why? Why…
His thoughts scattered. Then stopped.
Kurata… was dead.
