[Justimon: 5%]
Justimon is Cyberdramon's Mega form. It has no dragon traits, looks more like a man in a skintight suit, and embodies the image of a righteous hero.
This evolution path didn't appeal much to Moss.
Neither powerful, nor sexy.
The only redeeming feature was Justimon's mechanical right arm, which could switch between Power Mode, Electric Mode, and Blade Mode. It was currently Moss's only potential Mega form related to machines.
Machines!
The romance of industry!
Oh right, every Digimon has a model. Justimon's model was... Showa-era Kamen Rider!
Its finishing move, "Justice Kick," was even inspired by the Rider Kick—boasting a force of 45 tons.
...What a weak finishing move.
Barely seems like a Mega level.
After all, a basic Beast-type Champion Digimon could probably pull off a 45-ton hit.
But the more Moss thought about it, the more intrigued she became.
If she ever ended up in a Kamen Rider world, Justimon's vibe would fit perfectly.
She calmed her thoughts, musing, "Since I had the potential to evolve into Cyberdramon before, and now I've been wiping out scum and villains, that probably triggered the Justimon path."
Angewomon added analytically, "Seems like only eliminating world-class evil can raise the chances of evolving into Holydramon."
If she were only fighting lower-tier evil—gangs, thugs, serial killers—it would only increase the chance of Justimon.
Though both champions of justice, Holydramon and Justimon had different specialties. One focused on saving the world, responding only to global threats; the other was more like a street-level hero, fighting crime day-to-day.
"The more evolution paths I have, the more complex my data becomes. That might not be a good thing."
Moss eyed Justimon's evolution possibility. Now that she'd calmed down, she felt a little troubled by it.
As she thought about it, her gaze drifted to the countdown timer for the next world-hop.
"Not much time left."
She left the scene, dispelled her soul reception spell, and told her Digimon crew, "I'm heading out. You guys wait here."
Soon, the countdown ended, and she vanished.
Where would the new world be?
Being her third jump now, Moss was fairly looking forward to it.
"...Still San Francisco?"
The buildings looked a bit different, but thanks to having just visited, Moss was certain she was still in San Francisco.
She'd definitely jumped worlds.
So this wasn't a fantasy world like Fairy Tail, but rather another version of Earth.
She glanced around. The streets were quiet. As she considered asking someone for info, a flicker of green light appeared in the air ahead.
"What the—?"
Moss instinctively crouched and leapt back several meters.
That green light quickly expanded into a round portal, and from it fell a little girl, around ten years old, Asian face, black hair, wearing an orange top and blue pants, with a backpack slung over her back.
"Whoa!" She faceplanted.
The portal vanished behind her.
The girl rubbed her head and muttered, "Did I make it? That was weird."
Apparently, something unexpected had happened.
Then, she spotted Moss and her outfit and exclaimed, "Whoa, cool!"
Moss studied the girl's face and immediately felt that déjà vu, like when she'd met Mirajane and the others—definitely a familiar character.
She smiled warmly and asked, "I'm Moss. What's your name, little one?"
Unlike Mirajane, the girl wasn't wary at all and cheerfully replied, "I'm Jade. Are you a wrestler?"
Moss shook her head. "No, why do you ask?"
Jade grinned. "Because of your mask and outfit. I know El Toro Fuerte—oops, I'm late! Bye!"
She took off running toward a nearby school-like building.
"Jade… El Toro?"
Moss's eyes lit up in realization.
Jackie Chan Adventures!
A smile tugged at her lips.
Angewomon felt Moss's joy and asked, "What is it? Why are you so happy?"
Seeing no one around, Moss whispered, "This world has artifacts called the 'Twelve Talismans.' Each one contains a unique magical power—especially the Tiger Talisman, which represents the Power of Balance."
"Power of Balance?" Angewomon echoed thoughtfully.
Moss explained, "The Tiger Talisman balances yin and yang. If we can harness that, it might stabilize the data within us and eliminate the chance of a failed evolution."
Take Mega evolution, for instance.
Digivolving into "nothing" is caused by total data collapse. Minor collapses might result in Garbagemon or Numemon-type failures.
A total collapse means the data completely disintegrates—nothing left. That's what "nothing" represents.
So, if you prevent data collapse, no failed Digivolution—and no turning into nothing.
And the Tiger Talisman's balancing power might be just the key!
Currently, Moss's potential Mega evolutions included six: Ofanimon, Holydramon, MagnaAngewomon, Venusmon, Lilithmon, and Justimon—alongside the ever-lurking possibility of "nothing."
If the Tiger Talisman could eliminate that possibility, it would mean every single evolution would succeed!
Moss added, "Balance also means mastering both light and dark powers."
Mastering both could open a new evolution path—Mastemon—granting her the ability to open interdimensional portals, which would let her study world-hopping herself.
One new world a month? She'd treat it like world tourism.
And if she could eventually steer the 'vehicle' even a little, she might revisit past worlds and reunite with old bonds.
Angewomon reminded her, "You can't bring physical objects between worlds."
Of course Moss remembered.
Just like in Digimon Adventure 02, when the kids entered the Digital World, their clothes reverted to what they wore the first time—they couldn't bring outside gear.
Same here—anything beyond the Angewomon image couldn't come with her.
Moss nodded wisely. "A wise one seeks strength within. What we need is the Tiger Talisman's internal magic."
She couldn't bring the item, but she could carry its magic—just like how she retained Dragon Slayer magic from the Fairy Tail world.
Angewomon sighed, "That quote is valid and profound, but I'm not sure your interpretation is the correct one."
Kind of like when Moss explained "morality, vulgarity, nudity, holiness" that night—technically valid, but somehow turning Confucius into Confusing-us.
"...Anyway, the Tiger Talisman is a must."
If she could get all twelve talismans, great.
If not, then the Tiger Talisman took priority.
[World-Hop Countdown: 30 days]
She glanced at the timer on her panel and sighed to herself, "Thirty days again. That's gonna be tight."
