San Francisco.
Still San Francisco, but no longer the one from Jackie Chan Adventures. This was the San Francisco from Digimon Savers.
The clouds in the sky were arranged differently now. A subtle but clear sign—this was a different timeline, a different world.
"Hmm~"
Moss flew into the air, stretching out her arms, arching her body in the sunlight, outlining a beautiful silhouette.
She checked the state of the magic within her—more precisely, the power of the Talismans. She hoped they wouldn't lose effect now that she was no longer in the original world.
Just like how a human can't breathe in a vacuum, maybe the Talismans would fail without the world's ubiquitous chi—both good and evil.
Infinity Stones in the Marvel universe were all-powerful there, but outside of it, they were nothing more than colored rocks.
Thankfully, the Talismans weren't Infinity Stones. They weren't singularities of the universe—they were merely fragments of Shendu's magical power, unrelated to any specific universe, and thus unaffected by the change in worlds.
Balance, speed, levitation, strength, invisibility, immortality, astral projection—these seven powers still worked as normal.
Moss was quite pleased. She used her Digimon senses to locate nearby Digimon energy signatures.
Spreading her wings, she flew toward the signal, and soon spotted a red pickup truck.
At the wheel was Astamon. In the passenger seat sat Goblimon. The back seats were packed with Mushroomon, Otamamon, Gekomon, Kunemon, and more.
The truck bed carried various supplies—tents, sleeping bags, pots, pans, and stored food.
"Boss!"
Goblimon spotted Moss returning and waved excitedly. The others also cheered and whooped.
Moss waved back with a smile. "Long time no see."
Astamon glanced at the tablet screen and said, "It's only been thirty hours—not that long."
"Thirty hours?" Moss tilted her head in thought.
She'd spent thirty days in the other world, but only thirty hours had passed here. That meant if thirty days passed in this world, would it be 720 days elsewhere?
No, she couldn't jump to that conclusion.
Moss shook her head. There was no point worrying about time ratios when she still couldn't control her dimension-hopping.
In other words, rather than tormenting herself, she should think about how to control it.
And that brought her to Mastemon.
So far, that was the only evolution path in her list tied to alternate dimensions and time-space—and it had already reached 1% potential.
To fully awaken Mastemon's powers, she would need LadyDevimon's data.
Moss looked at her interface.
[Name: Moss][Species: Digimon – Ultimate – Free Type – Angel Type – Angewomon][Skills: Holy Arrow, Heavenly Violet Light, Holy Bubbles, Digisoul, Reception Magic, Talisman Power][Evolution Paths: Magnadramon 50%, Slayerdramon 33%, Lilithmon 13%, Holy Angewomon 5%, LadyDevimon 14%...][Dimension Jump Timer: 30 Days]
In the evolution list, previously received paths like Venusmon and Judgment Beast were ignored—she focused on the ones yet to be received.
After absorbing demonic traits from seven Talismans, the LadyDevimon path had risen to 14%...
"To raise it more, I'll need to absorb more demonic energy... or... train in dark magic? Hmm, I'll need a safe place for that."
Moss thought for a moment and decided to head to DATS in Tokyo. She was more familiar with the people there, so things would be smoother.
"Let's go—Tokyo."
Moss told Goblimon to move to the back, then took the passenger seat.
Astamon began typing on his tablet. "I'll book a flight."
He looked like a squid-like alien, but Astamon was definitely the smartest of the Digimon under Moss's command.
He was basically her butler.
Initially, Moss thought he was a freak—probably due to Digimon Adventure's version of Astamon, who collected poop and even used it as currency.
But individual Digimon varied. Moss's Astamon did have collector tendencies—but not with poop. He preferred artistically valuable objects.
Like weird-shaped stones.
His voice was a little strange, but his personality was relatively normal. He gave off Squidward vibes.
As he searched for flights, Astamon added, "By the way, someone came looking for you yesterday."
"United Nations?"
"No. A blonde girl. She waited near us for 24 hours. When you didn't show up, she left."
Blonde girl?
The only blonde woman Moss could think of in this world was Hiromi Shirakawa. But she was a grown woman—not someone you'd call a "girl."
"What was her name?"
"She didn't say."
"...If she won't even give a name, forget it."
Moss waved it off and stopped Astamon from booking the flight. "No need for a ticket. We'll drive."
"Drive? This truck?" Astamon blinked.
Moss nodded. "Yup. This one."
Astamon stared, dumbfounded. "San Francisco and Tokyo are separated by the Pacific. Even planes take hours. And there's no road..."
Moss grinned. "You just drive. Leave the rest to me."
Astamon set down the tablet and, still skeptical, started the engine. The pickup rolled forward.
Moss activated the Rabbit Talisman, enveloping herself and the truck. "You've been enhanced!"
Whoosh! The truck surged like it had a shot of adrenaline. Its speed exploded—breaking the sound barrier in moments. Strangely, it caused no damage to the surroundings—only a strong breeze.
Before long, they were off land and racing across the ocean surface.
Astamon was stunned. "Lady Angewomon... what is this...?"
Moss smiled. "Just a little magic."
Astamon was speechless. "Little" my foot!
Ten minutes later, they passed Hawaii.
Half an hour after that, they arrived at Tokyo Bay.
Astamon contacted DATS via his tablet. "Captain Satsuma, please send someone to pick us up. I don't know the way to DATS."
Captain Satsuma asked, "Weren't you in San Francisco? How'd you get to Tokyo?"
"Drove," Astamon replied.
"..."
The DATS control room went dead silent.
Drove?! From San Francisco to Tokyo?! What, did the Pacific Ocean not exist?
Still, DATS confirmed Moss and her Digimon team's presence with their scanners and had no choice but to dispatch Hiromi Shirakawa to pick them up.
Before long, Moss returned to the same dorm DATS had given her before.
Meanwhile, across the Pacific—
On the streets of San Francisco, a girl in gothic clothing with golden hair scanned her surroundings. Her sharp, beautiful eyes were blade-like—scaring off anyone who considered approaching.
"Angewomon, where are you...?"
She muttered softly.
Passersby assumed she was a fan of Angewomon.
After all, Angewomon (Moss) was the world's #1 superstar, with fans across the globe.
A bald man spotted the gorgeous girl and got some twisted ideas. Smiling, he walked up and said, "Miss, looking for Angewomon? I know where she is~"
"Really? Please take me to her," the blonde girl replied sweetly.
The man led her into an alley.
Crack! Smash!
Moments later, he lay on the ground—face bruised, eyes rolling.
The blonde girl stood tall, dusting her skirt off, looking at the unconscious thug with disdain. "Trash. Waste of my time."
Then she kicked him straight into a dumpster.
No normal girl could kick a grown man like that.
She wasn't normal.
She was a cybernetically enhanced human, with a Digimon implanted into her body via Biomeric technology—granting her immense strength.
Former Digimon Hunter—Nanami!
One month ago, she was defeated by Angewomon (Moss). She had hoped to get stronger by working with Kurata—but Kurata had fled to the Digital World the very next day.
Worse, his later crimes made him a global criminal. Nanami couldn't reach him anymore, and she had no way to implant a stronger Digimon.
Nanami was no thug like Sei. She was a genius.
Though she couldn't implant another Digimon, she had used her intellect to develop an alternate source of power.
And so she came to America—San Francisco—just to defeat Angewomon (Moss), to erase the shame of losing to a Digimon, and to prove her superiority as a genius.
"Angewomon... where are you...?"
Nanami prowled the streets like a serpent hunting its prey.
But she would find nothing. Moss was already in Tokyo.
…
Tokyo DATS HQ.
Moss crept along the ceiling—still in her Angewomon form, not the Queen of Blood who had received Myotismon's soul.
Training the Queen of Blood's powers while in standard Angewomon form was an effective way to develop her dark energy.
With the Tiger Talisman balancing yin and yang, she could wield dark energy with ease—but training was still essential.
By day, Moss controlled the body and trained in dark power.
By night, when Moss slept, Angewomon took over to study in the DATS archives.
One trained. One studied.
One physical. One mental.
Life was simple but fulfilling—and days passed quickly.
In the blink of an eye, thirty days had gone by.
[LadyDevimon: 20%][Lilithmon: 20%]
Moss maintained her dark magic training and self-massage habit daily, achieving great progress—boosting both dark evolution paths.
[Holy Angewomon: 15%]
Angewomon kept expanding her knowledge, significantly boosting the divine path too.
But something even more important had arrived—
The dimension jump countdown had ended. A new journey was about to begin!
