Time flew by, and three days passed in the blink of an eye.
During this time, Moss fully unleashed her potential. She learned Flight Technique, Special Beam Cannon from Piccolo, Destructo Disc from Krillin, and Spirit Ball from Yamcha.
In terms of difficulty, these ki-based techniques were not as hard as Tri-Beam, so they weren't too difficult to pick up.
Beyond those, she also specifically asked Tien to teach her the Four Witches Technique.
The Four Witches Technique lets the user grow two extra arms from their back. Tien hadn't used it in years, as it was only somewhat useful in the pre-ki era. In the age of ki, extra arms weren't much help.
He was surprised when Moss asked about it but recalled the key points and taught her.
Moss didn't want extra arms—she wanted better control over her eight wings. Her wings were already flexible, unlike typical angels who fold theirs like bird wings. Hers drooped naturally. With the Four Witches Technique, they became even more agile, practically like eight extra arms.
She named it the Eight-Wing Fist—capable of attacking while she stood with her arms crossed.
"If you can't even handle my wings, how dare you come close?"
Moss imagined the scene and found it quite amusing.
Thus, her martial arts training at the Lookout concluded. The rest would be up to her own exploration. After bidding farewell to everyone, she flew to West City.
West City was where Bulma lived. Moss's visit served two purposes—checking the progress of the time machine, and seeking knowledge that might open the evolution path to SageMon.
With Flight Technique and the Rabbit Talisman, she reached West City in under ten minutes and met Bulma.
After a brief chat, she got to the point: "How's the time machine coming along?"
Bulma replied, "Materials are gathered. It should be done within ten days."
"Fast!" Moss was impressed. Even with full specs and materials, assembling a time machine in ten days sounded unreal. But it was exactly what she hoped for.
"By the way, where's Future Trunks?"
Moss hadn't sensed his ki upon arriving. Trunks usually suppressed his ki due to trauma from the Androids, but Moss hadn't been hiding hers—he should've come to greet her.
Bulma smiled. "He went to maintain order around the world."
Though the planet had recovered physically, its social order hadn't. Earth's population was down to five figures, while the environment had reverted to its state 20 years ago. That meant everyone had thousands of times more resources.
If all the survivors were good people, Earth would thrive. But most were those who'd survived the Android era—not the recently revived. Some were kind, others not.
And even the good can fall. Human desire is like a rolling boulder—once it starts, it won't stop.
That's why Future Trunks was maintaining order.
"I see. Then I'll go help."
With time to spare, Moss decided to spread a little goodwill.
Earth only had one global government, ruled by an anthropomorphic animal king... but that was the past. Though the capital city had been restored by the Namekian Dragon Balls, it wasn't what it once was.
Moss arrived at the capital's TV station for a global broadcast. Activating Receive Magic, she channeled Venusmon's soul and said to viewers around the world, "Hello, I am a messenger of God…"
By harnessing Venusmon's charm, she aimed to ease conflict and accelerate global recovery—and also to promote the compassion of God, boosting her chance of evolving into Holy Angewomon.
Two birds, one stone!
At the Lookout, Kami used his far-seeing vision to watch the broadcast. At first surprised by Moss's new appearance, he quickly understood her purpose.
"She truly is the perfect successor to the role of Guardian… Ah, but why only thirty days?"
Such a perfect candidate—noble, beautiful, gifted—and her time was so short. It hurt to think about.
Meanwhile, in a southern city, a tall man sneered at the screen. "Pfft, God's messenger? What a joke."
Beside him stood a short, lavender-skinned man with a calm smile—clearly no ordinary being.
"Kibito, she's referring to the Earth's Kami, not me," said the other, unbothered.
These two were none other than Supreme Kai Shin and his attendant Kibito.
Kibito scowled. "But even so, a God should not interfere in the mortal world. It has its own order."
"Let them be. We have more urgent matters—ones concerning the entire universe," Shin replied casually, turning away.
Kibito followed silently, trusting his god.
Elsewhere, in another city, Yamu and Spopovich were watching the same broadcast. But unlike ordinary viewers, they clutched their heads in agony.
"Lord Babidi!"
Only after invoking his name did the pain subside.
Back at his base, Babidi sensed a disturbance in his control spell and panicked.
He was the universe's top sorcerer—could Earth truly have someone who could undo his magic? Impossible!
After learning the cause, he muttered, "So that so-called 'messenger of God' disrupted my magic. She must have very pure energy."
And he needed a lot of pure energy.
He telepathically ordered, "Yamu, Spopovich—go harvest that girl's energy!"
"Yes, sir." The two grinned viciously and blasted into the sky, heading straight for the capital.
…
After the broadcast, Moss dismissed her Receive Magic and flew west, only to sense two ominous auras closing in.
"What wicked ki is this?"
She turned toward the source and soon spotted two bald figures, both bearing the trademark M-shaped symbol of Babidi's thralls.
"So, they're with Babidi…"
Yamu and Spopovich flanked her, closing in.
