Chapter 73 - The Secrets of the Evil Containment Wave

Just like before, Kami raised his hand and conjured a small booklet with five characters written on the cover—The Secrets of the Evil Containment Wave.

Unlike the previous Secrets of the Kikoho, which had seven stages, this new one had only three.

Stage One: Demon Wind—generate a gust of eerie wind by unleashing ki, to ensnare the target.

Stage Two: Sealing—trap the target within a container marked or inscribed with a sealing symbol.

Ordinary Evil Containment Waves ended at Stage Two.

But after prolonged discussions with countless martial arts sages in history, Kami and Tien had created a third stage:

Stage Three—building upon the first two stages, this allows martial artists to store ki for later use!"Once you complete Stage Three training, you'll be able to store energy regularly and release it when needed," Kami explained.

He added, "There are two ways to release the stored ki: one is gradual, which can replenish energy during battle and drastically extend your endurance."

Krillin clicked his tongue. "Like those tireless androids?"

Though his death at their hands was more than twenty years ago, the memory was still vivid. The merciless androids, seemingly immune to fatigue, had left deep scars in all the Z Fighters' minds.

Yamcha considered, "If you had enough ki stored up, it might be possible."

Kami nodded approvingly. "Yes. Theoretically, with sufficient ki, one could indeed reach a similar state. But in practice, there are nuances only seasoned fighters understand."

He continued, "The other method is to release it all in one go, achieving a temporary surge in power—with no physical backlash."

Piccolo chuckled. "In other words, it's all about timing. Waste it, and you're done for."

Kami nodded again.

Moss recalled a certain Dragon Ball movie, the one where Broly appeared. Goku, beaten down for most of the film, turned the tide after receiving energy from his allies—landing a single punch that defeated the seemingly invincible Broly.

Whatever the narrative contrivances, from a practical standpoint, Goku had simply received a massive temporary power boost.

Kami turned to Moss. "Once you complete Stage Three, your Ki-Storing Kikoho will naturally fall into place."

Once one could store and release ki, whether it was used for a Kikoho, a Kamehameha, or stamina recovery, it was entirely up to the user.

"Thank you," Moss said.

Kami smiled. "This direction was your idea. I wouldn't have thought of it on my own. We both benefit—no thanks necessary."

He added, "As for the energy container, in Stage Three of the Evil Containment Wave, you can use your own body. I suggest somewhere on the head, chest, or abdomen—it doesn't need to be large. Even fingertip-sized is enough, as long as a sealing rune is inscribed."

In truth, the location was secondary. The real key to Stage Three was ki control.

Mess it up, and the container could become a bomb, harming the user instead of the enemy.

Everyone grimaced at that thought.

Especially Gohan, who laughed wryly. "My ki is too volatile—it's hard to control."

His ki, while explosively powerful, was also wild and unstable—high risk, high reward.

Piccolo sternly said, "Gohan, you need to reinforce your fundamentals."

"Yes, sir…" Gohan broke into a cold sweat.

"Piccolo is so strict," Krillin and Yamcha muttered, exchanging glances.

Tien and Chiaotzu chuckled quietly.

Not all shared this problem. Moss had no difficulty controlling her ki.

First, her control was already excellent. Second—she had the Tiger Talisman.

The Power of Balance!

—Half an hour later: Stage One, complete. Two hours later: Stage Two, complete.Four hours later: Stage Three, complete.

Now all that remained was choosing the container location on her body.

Rather than doing this in public, Moss waited until after dinner to return to her room alone. "Where should I place it…" she mused.

Kami had suggested the head, chest, or abdomen.

She stood before a mirror, gazing at her waist, where two black belts wrapped around her. The clothing left her abdomen exposed.

Just below the second belt ring lay her navel—and beneath that, her lower abdomen.

"Traditionally, energy storage is linked to the dantian," she murmured.

She raised her hand and pressed her Fairy Tail guild mark on her left shoulder, channeling magic into it.

From that point emerged a white magical "paint," which she used to form five characters: Great Demon King Seal.

These were the traditional symbols placed on Evil Containment Wave containers. Kami had modified them to be drawn directly onto the body to create an internal ki vessel.

Moss couldn't use ink or cinnabar—they might not carry over in a dimensional jump. Magic was the safer option.

She arranged the five characters into a hammer-like shape:

"Demon" in the center

"Great" to the left

"King" to the right

"Seal" below "Demon"

"Mark" below "Seal"

She adjusted the style slightly, knowing that function mattered more than form.

"Very artsy," she nodded, satisfied.

"How artsy?" asked Angewomon.

"Three to four stories high," Moss smirked.

Then she licked her lips mischievously. "Would look better in crimson."

"Why?" Angewomon asked—then quickly understood.

Their minds and senses were so linked that she could instantly tell Moss had entered her pervy mode again.

"This is serious training! Show some respect!" she scolded.

"I am respectful!" Moss replied, straightening up and shrinking the sigil.

Taking a deep breath, she lifted the fabric, applied the seal, and then let the cloth fall to cover it—perfectly concealed.

"…" Angewomon sighed helplessly.

Regardless, the energy container was now complete.

Moss began injecting her spare energies, including her Digital Soul, into the seal.

Reserve Energy +1 +1 +1…

—Meanwhile, elsewhere on Earth, in a mountain valley…

Two burly, bald men emerged from a cave: Yamu and Spopovich.

Once martial artists and competitors in the World Martial Arts Tournament, they had gone into hiding during the Android attacks.

Now, hearing that Earth had recovered and most cities were deserted, they planned to take over one and rule.

But before long, they encountered a strange figure.

Short, oddly dressed, and even stranger in appearance.

"A monster-type human?" they muttered.

In the Dragon Ball world, Earth had many human types: normal, animal-type, monster-type, and the rare hybrids.

Yamu and Spopovich assumed this was a monster-type.

The strange man grinned. "Hehehe… you two have potential and dark hearts. Become servants of me, Babidi—the greatest wizard in the universe!"

"What the hell are you babbling abou— Aaaagh!"

Before they could finish, they grabbed their heads in agony. A black M-shaped mark slowly appeared on their foreheads—the sign of Babidi's mind control.

"Next, I'll increase your power," Babidi said with a smile.

He raised his hands and used magic to unlock their potential.

Yamu and Spopovich felt immense strength surge within—they felt invincible—and quickly bowed before Babidi.

"Lord Babidi!"

Pleased, Babidi led them back to his base and trained them for a day.

Then he handed Yamu a white pot-shaped vessel.

"This is the Energy Absorption Jar. Go collect pure energy for me."

"Yes, sir!" they nodded, taking the jar and flying off into the sky.

Thanks to Babidi's magic, they had evolved from basic martial artists into true ki-users within a single day.

Watching them go, Babidi turned and walked deeper into his lair.

"Lord Babidi, why bother with such weaklings?"

A voice echoed from the shadows.

Babidi, hands behind his back, replied, "Until Majin Buu awakens, we must remain cautious—lest we alert the Supreme Kai."
