In the world of Dragon Ball, there are many who can draw out latent power through psychic abilities or magic—such as the Grand Elder of Namek, Elder Kai, and even Babidi.
This kind of ability is commonly referred to as "Potential Unleashing."
Among them, the most powerful is Elder Kai's version, as it allows one to surpass their limits and achieve a special state colloquially known as the "Mystic Form."
In that form, one can wield power beyond their limits without any strain—essentially using the strength of a supercharged state while remaining in a calm, normal form.
"It's almost done."
Piccolo created an hourglass using Namekian abilities—the sand in the upper chamber would take twenty-five hours to fully drain into the lower one, and now there was only a small bit left.
Soon, that last bit of sand dropped through.
At the same time, Gohan's potential unlocking was complete.
Seeing this, Gohan turned to Elder Kai and asked, "Um, Elder Kai, may I move now?"
Elder Kai was flipping through a manga, and blinked when he heard Gohan's voice. "Oh? Time's up already? Huh, your energy isn't even fully awakened yet. You've got more potential than I thought."
"I see…" Gohan sat down again in front of Elder Kai.
Not far away, Trunks said, "Seems like Gohan's unlocking will take a bit longer."
Krillin sighed. "Gohan's potential is really scary."
Piccolo chuckled proudly. "Of course. He's Gohan!"
A few more hours passed.
Elder Kai finally said, "It's done."
Gohan stood and walked toward his companions. Trunks, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu all gathered around.
"How do you feel, Gohan?"
"Yeah, did your power increase?"
"Well…" Gohan scratched his cheek with a sheepish smile. "Honestly, I don't feel anything."
Everyone looked concerned, thinking maybe it had failed.
But Elder Kai smirked knowingly. "Try powering up like you usually do."
Gohan did as instructed.
Boom!
A powerful energy burst erupted, shaving a layer off the ground beneath his feet like a razor.
"—!"
Everyone gasped in shock.
Even Gohan was surprised. "This is my power? Just a basic energy-up and I've already surpassed Super Saiyan!"
Mystic Gohan is born!
Elder Kai chuckled. "That Super Saiyan nonsense? That's a cheap trick."
Gohan blinked but didn't argue. He thanked Elder Kai and said, "I'm worried about what Babidi might be doing. Can I return to Earth now?"
Kibito rushed over. "Yes, I'll take you."
Everyone looked at Kibito. He seemed even more haggard than the day before.
No surprise—he had used his healing powers nearly 70,000 times since yesterday. That's like firing 70,000 energy blasts. Even the toughest man would be utterly drained.
Now he could at least get a break by using Gohan's return trip as an excuse…
"Hurry back," Moss said.
Kibito turned pale.
Moss smiled sweetly, saying gently, "This is all for rescuing the Supreme Kai. Be strong, Kibito."
Looking at her delicate, angelic face, Kibito saw the smile of a devil. He broke into a cold sweat.
Still, for the Supreme Kai, he reluctantly nodded and stood by Gohan's side.
Krillin commented, "With Gohan's power now, he shouldn't lose to Dabura anymore, right?"
Kibito's eyes lit up. "That's right! Let's go rescue the Supreme Kai!"
Elder Kai asked, "Do you know where they're hiding?"
Kibito shared the location he had previously investigated.
Elder Kai replied, "Well, there's nothing there anymore. Babidi's already moved. We'll have to wait for the Supreme Kai Rescue Battle."
Moss asked curiously, "You have clairvoyance, right?"
Elder Kai puffed up proudly. "That's right. I can see mosquitoes fighting on Earth."
Some clairvoyance is limited to Earth, like Kami's. But Elder Kai's could see across both realms and even into the universe.
Moss was intrigued. "Can I learn it?"
Elder Kai gave her a funny look. "Only gods can learn it. And even then, you need talent. Without it, you could spend hundreds of years and still fail."
Moss gave up on the idea.
Support-type skills like this are far more complex than combat ones—like comparing electronics to weapons.
Kibito, realizing Babidi had gone into hiding again, sighed and dutifully took Gohan back to Earth.
Elder Kai stretched. "Next!"
The group looked at each other and nominated Trunks.
Though currently not as strong as Gohan, Trunks had a similar potential. It took over twenty-five hours to unlock.
Mystic Trunks is born!
That was only their third day on the Supreme Kai's planet.
On day four, Mystic Piccolo was born.
Day five, Mystic Krillin.
Day six, Mystic Yamcha.
Day seven, Mystic Tien.
Day eight, Mystic Chiaotzu.
Then came the ninth day—
"My turn."
Moss sat cross-legged before Elder Kai and asked, "Elder Kai, will I be able to fully control all my stored energy after the unlocking?"
She had been feeding energy into the Great Demon King Seal nonstop, while Kibito restored her repeatedly—accumulating an enormous reservoir.
It was ten times more than her previous negative energy amount!
If she could fully control this 30-million-unit energy reserve, she wouldn't just have it as backup—it would be her base power.
She could even call herself a "30-Million Energy Warrior."
Right now, she was just a cannon using it to fire Ki blasts—these were bullets, not her own strength.
If potential unlocking could solve this, it would be ideal.
Elder Kai rolled his eyes. "That energy-gathering trick is even more unorthodox than Super Saiyan. At least Super Saiyan is your own latent power. What you've stored is just... a tool."
"I see. Shame," Moss murmured.
Elder Kai eyed her—she didn't look disappointed at all. She clearly expected that answer.
"Let's begin the ceremony," Moss said.
First, five hours of ritual. Then twenty hours of energy elevation.
By the tenth day's dawn, her potential unlocking was complete.
Everyone's potential and results differ—even if all enter the "Mystic" state, the manifestations vary.
So what did Mystic Angewomon look like?
No change in appearance — that's a trait of Mystic Forms.
All her original powers—Digisoul, Receiver Magic, and Ki—were greatly enhanced.
Her Digisoul reached Burst Mode level.
Receiver Magic became much more efficient.
Ki... well, all the Z-Fighters are strong, so she couldn't easily gauge it—but she was definitely much stronger than before.
Her Talisman powers, however, didn't improve—they were not trained but acquired. But her control over them increased dramatically. She could now use the Snake Talisman to partially turn objects invisible—something she could only imagine before.
Angewomon's Divine Power also increased significantly.
Moss used her new telepathy and asked Angewomon mentally: "Do you know about X-Evolution?"
Angewomon replied, "No, what is that?"
"It's when Digimon with X-Antibodies evolve. It enhances their powers, similar to this potential unlocking."
"Does Angewomon have an X-Evolution?"
"Yes."
If normal Angewomon is a saint, Angewomon X is a high priestess—with stronger holy power and the ability to use the elemental attack: Great Holy Arrow.
But now, thanks to Elder Kai's unlocking, she had reached Angewomon X's level without physically changing.
Her Divine Power had increased tenfold, producing a purifying aura that might even surpass Angewomon X.
"In a way, we've achieved the X-Evolved power... but in Mystic form, so our appearance didn't change."
Moss marveled at her new strength and looked at her Digivolution path panel:
Magnadramon: 50%
Ophanimon: 80%
Holydramon: 100%!
Her Divine Power had affected her Digivolution paths—Magnadramon and Ophanimon were progressing well, and Holydramon was now fully unlocked.
