Elsewhere, in West City.
After Dabura left, the whole place fell silent.
Piccolo looked at Gohan and asked, "Gohan, what do you think? If you used your full strength, could you handle Dabura?"
Among those present, although Piccolo was the strongest in base form, Saiyans had their Super Saiyan transformation, which made Gohan the true powerhouse.
Gohan raised his only right hand and clenched his fingers, then said thoughtfully, "If I go all out, I should be able to beat him—as long as Dabura doesn't have more hidden power."
Everyone pondered what kind of help they could offer.
But when Kibito heard Gohan's answer, he was utterly stunned. "You… You actually think you can beat that Demon King Dabura?!"
He had hoped these people might help rescue the Supreme Kai, not actually defeat Dabura. That thought was beyond him—it was like something out of a dream!
That's the Demon King Dabura we're talking about!
"..." The others glanced at each other, confused by Kibito's extreme reaction.
Demon King or not—if they had a chance to beat him, they would. Why so shocked?
Did he get traumatized or something?
Moss said, "Let's go to the Supreme Kai Realm first."
Kibito thought of the Supreme Kai's capture and knew there could be no mistakes. Though he was reluctant, he didn't hesitate. Once everyone said goodbye to Bulma and the others, he used Instant Transmission to take them to the Supreme Kai Realm.
Upon arriving, everyone felt refreshed.
The scenery was beautiful, and the air was exceptionally pure.
Krillin chuckled, "Nice environment. Training here might help us improve faster."
They assumed this trip was for training. Ki training involved more than refining the body—it also required sensing the changes in the world's energy. This nature-filled realm was perfect for that.
Moss took a deep breath, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere, then got straight to the point: "Where's the Z-Sword?"
Kibito was shocked. "How do you know about that?"
A little Earth deity like her knew a lot about the Supreme Kai Realm...
Gohan asked, "What's the Z-Sword?"
Kibito puffed out his chest proudly. "It's a sacred relic of the Supreme Kai Realm. Legend says whoever wields it gains the strongest power in the universe!"
"Ohhh!" Everyone let out a polite gasp of amazement.
Moss urged, "If you don't want anything to happen to the Supreme Kai, then take us there now."
Kibito's face twitched. He had no choice. Grumbling internally, he led everyone to a small lake. In the center stood a stone pillar with a sword embedded in it—only the hilt visible.
A sword in a stone? Or in a lake? Arthurian legend's influence really does run deep.
Moss muttered mentally, then said aloud, "That sword is the key to boosting our power. Gohan, try pulling it out."
"..." Kibito was speechless. She was giving orders like she owned the place.
"I got it," Gohan nodded solemnly and flew over. He reached for the hilt with his only hand and tried to lift it.
It didn't budge.
"Huh? It's heavy!" Gohan exclaimed.
He adjusted his energy and went all out—still no movement.
Kibito was smug. Not even past Supreme Kais could lift it—how could a mortal?
Then Gohan transformed into a Super Saiyan. With golden energy flaring around him, his strength increased exponentially.
This time, the sword moved—slowly—but it came free.
"It's really heavy," Gohan panted, reverting to base form as he brought the sword back.
The others looked at the blade. Besides being heavy, it didn't look particularly special or sharp. They weren't sure how it would boost their power.
They turned their eyes to Moss.
Even Kibito looked at her now. In the Supreme Kai Realm, they're still looking to her for answers? He grumbled internally, but he, too, waited.
Moss said, "Trunks, go break that sword."
Kibito panicked, "What?! Wait! That's a holy relic! You can't just—"
Moss looked at him.
Kibito flinched, instinctively taking a step back. He fully expected another guilt-trip about the Supreme Kai's life hanging in the balance.
But to his surprise, Moss simply smiled. "Don't worry. I have my reasons. You'll thank me later."
Kibito was confused. Break a sacred relic and thank you? Yeah, right.
"Do it," Moss told Trunks.
"Yes!" Trunks drew his own blade, channeled energy into it, and struck the Z-Sword's spine.
With a flash, the Z-Sword split in two, clean as butter under a hot knife.
"The… Z-Sword…" Kibito looked like his heart had shattered.
But it was all to save the Supreme Kai!
Everyone looked at Gohan and Trunks, asking, "Do you feel any stronger?"
They both shook their heads.
"You misunderstand," said an elderly voice.
They turned around—and saw an old man standing there.
"And you are?" Kibito asked carefully. The man was clearly dressed like a Supreme Kai.
"I'm the Supreme Kai from fifteen generations ago."
Kibito was floored. "A-a-ancestor?!"
The Old Kai looked at Moss and asked, "You seem to know a lot. Do you know how I grant ultimate power?"
Everyone perked up.
Moss smiled. "Potential Unleashing."
"You even know that? Impressive!" The Old Kai didn't pry. He knew there were many mysteries in the universe, and what one needs to know will reveal itself in time.
"I've heard enough. For today's Supreme Kai to need help from Earthlings... tsk…"
He sighed heavily.
Kibito hung his head in shame.
The Old Kai refocused, looked at Gohan, and said, "You pulled the Z-Sword, so I'll unleash your hidden potential first—it'll push your power far beyond its limits."
Gohan beamed. "Thank you!"
Moss added, "Actually, I'd like you to do that for all of us."
The Old Kai groaned, "That's so much work... and it takes time."
"We've got ten days. Please, Supreme Kai~" Moss put her hands together and used the sweetest, most syrupy tone possible.
Everyone shivered.
They had never seen Moss act like that before.
Kibito scowled. "Foolish girl! Quit your silly games—"
"Fine," the Old Kai agreed.
Kibito twitched.
Where's your dignity, Old Kai?!
Still, he agreed to help them all—but he'd start with Gohan, since it would take twenty-five hours per person.
While that was going on, Moss turned to Kibito. "You have healing powers, right? Heal me."
Kibito looked her up and down. "You look fine."
"I'm injured on the inside."
"…Fine." Kibito pointed a hand at her. "Ha!"
Warmth surged through her body, healing every wound—even the crack on her Digicore. Though she couldn't die thanks to the Dog Talisman, having her injuries fully healed still felt amazing—like a weight had been lifted.
She wiped her mask, and it returned to pristine form.
Then she asked, "Your power can restore energy too, right?"
Kibito nodded. "Yeah, why?"
"Because I'm about to burn through mine—so help me recover. Actually, start now."
Kibito was confused. She's just standing there. What energy did she burn?
He didn't get it but healed her anyway. "Ha!"
Moss began pouring 90% of her energy into the "Great Demon Seal," draining herself, and letting Kibito refill her. Again and again.
Backup energy +100!
Backup energy +100!
Backup energy +100...
Over and over, Moss's reserve climbed rapidly.
Her energy compared to the Z-Fighters—especially Gohan—was just a fraction, so Kibito barely felt any drain.
Still, over time, even small costs add up.
After six hours, Moss had charged over 20,000 units—surpassing her prior dark energy total.
"Phew… whew…"
Kibito collapsed, completely drained.
"One more hour break," Moss said. "Then we go again."
Kibito had never used his healing power so many times in a row. Twenty thousand? Not even a hundred in his entire life!
The Z-Fighters watching from a distance—even Gohan and the Old Kai—winced and silently offered condolences to Kibito.
