"What… what did I do to you?!"
Even now, A-Train was completely baffled!
He had no idea what was going on!
He had come to New York today solely because he had a sports brand commercial to shoot tomorrow!
He hadn't offended anyone!
"A-Train, you're truly arrogant. Do you see civilians' lives as nothing more than ants?"
Peter's expression was cold.
Death itself isn't what's terrifying—it's the process of waiting for death.
It's the despair of knowing death is coming but being utterly powerless to stop it.
Peter didn't mind letting this arrogant black man experience that despair firsthand!
Civilians?!
A-Train's expression froze instantly, immediately recalling the old woman he had killed earlier that day.
"Listen, Punisher, I can explain!!"
A-Train's voice trembled. The fear of death made it hard for him to speak, his nerves stretched to the limit. But he had no ability to fight back.
His pride and joy—his speed—was worthless in front of this man.
If he wanted to survive, begging for mercy was his only option.
"I'm sorry!! I'm sorry!!"
"I apologize to the victim! It wasn't intentional!!"
"It was my mistake!!"
"I'll compensate, I'll make it right! Just let me go, and I'll give all my money to the victim's family!!"
"That old woman was already very old. Even if I hadn't hit her, she wouldn't have lived much longer!"
"Give me a chance, Punisher! I'm a superhero! I can do more!"
"I'm willing to donate everything I have!!"
A-Train rambled on, terrified that the next second, beams of light would shoot from the man's eyes and pierce him through!
His fear came true.
Two beams of light swept horizontally, severing A-Train's legs—the very legs that had made him a superhero.
A-Train let out a scream of agony!
Blood gushed uncontrollably, staining the ground beneath him red.
"Does having money mean you can kill people at will?"
Two more beams shot out, ending A-Train's life.
A few seconds later, Peter returned to New York City, back to the front of Vought International's branch.
Due to the earlier fight, everyone in the company had fled.
Spider-Woman was still there.
Gwen's emotions were mixed. Though she found the Punisher utterly repulsive!
She couldn't deny that what he said made sense!
Her combat experience was still lacking!
She regretted not targeting A-Train's legs first.
If she had struck his legs immediately, catching him off guard, the fight wouldn't have been so intense.
"Miss Spider, tell me your next plan."
The masked Peter spoke coldly.
Next plan?
Gwen was stunned. She had come here today purely to vent Peter's anger and hadn't made any plans.
"My next plan is to leave here."
Hearing this answer, Peter almost spat out blood.
Gwen, oh Gwen, you're way too reckless, aren't you?
Charging in without investigating your opponent's situation beforehand—what if Homelander had been here?
Gwen would have been no match for Homelander.
The Punisher sneered at Gwen.
"You're exactly as I expected—brainless."
Being insulted for no reason, Gwen naturally felt indignant, her voice turning cold.
"Punisher, what I do is none of your business!"
Peter ignored her and continued:
"From the moment you said you'd just run away, I knew you came here tonight without any plan!"
"Maybe A-Train wasn't a threat to you, but what if Homelander had been here?"
"Could you have taken him on?"
Gwen froze. Homelander was the leader of the Seven. He could fly, shoot lasers from his eyes, and was faster and stronger than her. She truly wasn't a match for him.
The cold voice spoke again:
"Everyone saw you came here to attack A-Train."
"Don't think the people at Vought International are fools. They'll investigate the conflict between you and A-Train."
"They'll also deduce why he was attacked based on what he's done."
"It won't be hard to figure out that A-Train killed someone on the road today."
"So, guess what? Vought's higher-ups might connect the two incidents."
"They might even speculate that the person A-Train killed was your friend or family."
"By attacking and then leaving, you've brought trouble to the victim's family."
Gwen's heart raced as she listened to the Punisher's analysis!
She had almost caused Peter a huge problem.
If this incident led to Peter being investigated, to the Parker family being exposed…
The consequences were unimaginable!
Gwen couldn't think of a solution right away.
She had no choice but to turn to the Punisher.
"Punisher, I don't like you. You're too extreme, too violent, and your methods against criminals are too brutal."
"But I do need your help with this. Tell me what to do, and I'll owe you one!"
"Your debt means nothing to me."
Peter said coldly:
"But I do have a solution."
